I'm with Carlos. Piper is cool, but it's just a start.

Crystal Method, yup. Also, Roni Size/Reprazent.

OK, Limeys, try to explain where you guys came up with the "Leftenant" pronunciation.

Hey, Ale-8-One is pretty good. I've never understood Delaware Punch.

South Park
Maybe saying that she liked "South Park" is a veiled way of saying, "No, those rumors about me being a Scientologist were false."

What about…
Commentary Tracks of Van Dammed?

First concert I ever went to was when I was 11 and won tickets on the radio to see Hall and Oates at the Forum in Inglewood. I went with my mom. Who was the opening act? Corey Hart. So there you go, first musical artist seen live, Corey Hart.

Holy moly, that Crystals song is absolutely perfect. I mean, I'd heard it before, but it never hit me like that. In two and a half minutes it goes from meeting at a dance to marriage. Man, now I know why my aunts all got married when they were 17.

Yes, their search function sucks. It even gets confused if you don't capitalize everything correctly. WTF?

Oh yeah, Car Wars!

I ended up playing a substantial amount of Boot Hill because one friend of mine's mother was a Jehovah's Witness who wouldn't let him play D&D.

I started fishing througgh my old D&D stuff (I haven't played in 15 years) a few weeks ago, and I too started appreciating the simplicity of Basic D&D more, too.

Yeah, Elektrobank is where it's at. I love the Spike Jonze rhythmic gymnastics video with Sofia Coppola, too. Their best video, though, is Star Guitar, off of Come With Us.

But I *like* mid-90s trip-hop. I saw the Sneaker Pimps in 1997 in San Bernardino and they were OK, but it was kind of hard for anyone else to be memorable on a bill with Aphex Twin.

I actually own every Genesis album, and all but a handful are pretty good. DUKE is the Genesis album I listen to most, although I'd be hard-pressed to come up with a defense of it being better than THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY.

Run to You
Have you heard the Lou Barlow version of "Run to You?" It's really haunting.

That little exchange made me chuckle inside.

Embarassing
Man, I own the top six of these. Plus the Genesis album. (OK, plus *every* Genesis album. There, I said it.)

Video stores
Actually, there are used video stores around L.A. where you see old screener videotapes, and they're dirt cheap.
