Any music obsessive in their twenties and thirties has at least heard of The Velvet Underground & Nico album.

The last few episodes of this season were the best of the season, partially because they dropped the fucking flashbacks. I hope they’re done with them for the rest of the series because I can’t think of one backstory this season that added anything to the plot or understanding the characters. I don’t even remember…
Finally, a flashback-free episode and the best of the season so far in my opinion. The flashbacks are really getting tiresome and have been dragging this season down. I also find them mostly unnecessary at this point. I don’t even remember what Daddy’s backstory was, it was so insignificant. Mackenzie Phillips has…
It’s interesting that when this song came out, Jeopardy! had been off the air for several years. The Trebek hosted version came out later the same year and obviously was a huge hit. I think the show probably owes some of its success to the song. Also most of the Art Fleming hosted episodes were unfortunately erased…
Since the fact that Sophie is 20 is a major plot point in the first Mamma Mia!, that means that despite being released in 2008, the first film actually takes place in 2000. That setting clearly wasn’t an intentional choice on the part of the filmmakers at the time, but it’s not the craziest retcon either.
I really like her song “Birds” which was in heavy rotation on Pandora for me when I was in high school. She has a very pretty voice.
Assuming it’s the same cast as the Netflix series, it will be Joel, Jonah Ray, Baron Vaughn as Tom Servo, and Hampton Yount as Crow.
So-called “nerd culture” is a toxic and sexist industry that preys on women and encourages men to believe they’re gods because they have a lot of knowledge about certain movies and comic books. Looking at guys such as Harry Knowles, Doug Walker, and now Hardwick just really proves that. One of the internet’s biggest…
He’s been doing excellent work on A Series of Unfortunate Events.
I like it but as far as “Matthew Broderick as a rebellious teenager who can hack computers” movies go, WarGames is so much cooler.
This must be what Jonestown looked like before they drank the poison.
It’s a shame they only put out the first eight episodes because this is when the season really starts picking up steam for me and finally felt like classic Arrested Development. The scene with George Sr, Michael, and George Michael all following each other into Mexico especially had me laughing so much. And Alia…
Very bittersweet to see the late Rance Howard. His appearance was a nice surprise.
It was a mistake to release only the first eight episodes. Because it’s six episodes of buildup and two of execution. And I thought that episodes seven and eight were really funny. I don’t think the first six episodes were bad, they were just dull. Like even when season four was lacking in jokes, it had so many…
I’m about six episodes in and as one of season four’s major defenders, this is not very good. I’m six episodes in and it has its moments but season four (for good or bad) had so many different things going on to keep you interested while this season seems to have barely any plot at all. After doing a full series…
I respect David Lynch as an artist and filmmaker so much but I can’t help but feel like his whole TM thing is a cultish scam. Yes, meditation is great for the mind and body but you don’t need to take classes for thousands of dollars to learn to do it. I know people who teach meditation who say that TM is just for rich…
When in doubt, call James Earl Jones.
Aw man, I guess this means I didn’t win the raffle.
“They will, however, be remixed.”
