Is a skyscraper “built” in the location it is constructed, or where the I-beams are manufactured?
Is a skyscraper “built” in the location it is constructed, or where the I-beams are manufactured?
I’m really not sure what point you’re trying to get across here. I guess a pedantic statement about using the term “built” to mean “manufactured” is what you were going for.
The seas are a heat sink for the atmosphere and the polar ice is a heat sink for the seas. Until the seas warm, the land will continue to dry out. As long as the land is drying out, warming will continue and even accelerate as the surface of the Earth changes, along with its means of interaction with solar energy.
I still cannot see the means by which CO2 reduction will cancel or reverse the changes in the Earth’s surface and how it responds to solar energy that have been ongoing and evident since the end of the ice age.
You are right, the AGW Scientists and Politicians are at this point really looking like some kind of cult.
Improved as in the Doom calling changes almost every year and someone is always screaming about how now is the time we passed the point or how it is only a short time away.
Every estimate I’ve seen has been saying nothing can be done no matter what. There are reports that say if every human being agreed to live in a bark yurt and eat nothing but grass and rainwater that “Climate Change” would still be irreversible.
Barring some incredible new carbon capture technology, the window for limiting global warming to less than 1.5 degrees Celsius appears to have closed. That’s the stark conclusion of a report out in Nature today, which finds that the carbon reductions pledges penned into the Paris Agreement are ridiculously inadequate…
How many times have we been told this before only to be presented with a new and improved timeline? To me it seems like it has happened every year.
i can only assume that you’re volunteering?
to be part of the population reduction, in case you missed that.
well...If we can’t possibly hit the minimum...only alternative is to hit the max!
If you start to imagine how people will treat the self-driving cars that they are supposed to share, perhaps by imagining how they treat
buses and subwayspublic restrooms then you could possibly start to imagine a bit of dystopia here.
While cell phones are the cool thing to blame this on, people died before they were a dream.
You’re so right. Every machine built so far has been capable of 100% perfect operation at all times and never breaks down.
Would be better to offer a rebuttal and debate, then insults and labels.
It’s because people with drivers licenses are - in almost all cases - adults, not children, and don’t need to relearn how to drive ever again. Really.
If Alissa Walker has her way, she would ban all cars or at least force manufacturers to wrap their cars in bubble wrap and go no faster than 2mph.
I am curioushow do youaddress the current accident and injury rate of self driving cars which as of october of last year was five times the accidents and four times the injuries of human drivers? Admittedly the injuries were all minor, but this is not what one could call a great rate of success. On the other hand, it…
That sounds like a better plot, honestly.
What if Leto gets so deep into the role that his mind cracks under the strain of all that method acting and he starts believing that he really is the Joker, and begins committing violent, absurd, elaborate capers?
