I walk in sick, get treated, then go home.

Math is hard, isn’t it?

I know I’m a cynical old grump, but I would imagine our Corporate Overlords would straight up keep us locked in our homes with armed police forces before they’d ever let that happen.

how are we going to pay for it?

Someone’s mad at capitalism. Go bark at a tree you communist. /s

So you are commenting on racism with a racist statement. Not all white people are like this, just like not all black people are blank, or all blank are blank. Your statement fuels white supremacist movements by attacking all white people. Please stop all racism for people to be free of these and your terrible

Based on historical trends, this article offers extremely poor advice for investors. Alas, it’s become a trend here on LifeHacker...

Yeah it’s an emotional investing thing. No financial advisor would ever recommend it but political activists have no such qualms.

Is this just an opposition to guns thing or are people expecting the stocks to tank? Generally, when awful stuff happens and the government or media starts discussing bans or restrictions, the sales go up. Seems like an inopportune time to divest.

So, you’re immediately assuming bad faith in order to maintain your ideological purity. Pretty clever way of absolving yourself of anything that may happen due to your recalcitrance.

Lutz is the complete opposite of a “scared-old-man.” Think more like “salty seasoned automotive veteran” who has seen many car companies come and go.

I actually switched from Chrome to Firefox on my work computer around a year ago because Chrome was slowing down on me. However, there are times when a website or page or form just will not work on Firefox, so Chrome has to come to the rescue. I’ve never had (or been able) to do the same thing in the other direction.

Eh, we’ll throw in gifts for some customers - it’s just not something that’s advertised. I work for a luxury (dare-I-say “exotic”) car showroom, and with the amount of money we make on some deals, $100 some clothes and a tumbler, or $200 for a watch is no big deal, and it’s a cherry on top for the type of service we

Then you should build that in as part of the cost and negotiation, not as “hey give us free shit or we walk.” Like I said, it’d be shitty if they threw on some fee after you agree verbally on the price, and said “take it or walk.”

I can’t believe I’m going to defend a car salesman, but - this is kind of a bad practice. I try to treat the salesman with as much respect as he treats me - as in, don’t try to throw in extra fees buried under legalese, don’t sell me on packages you know I don’t need, and I won’t jerk you around and waste your time. Bitcoin isn’t real?

Huge difference, legally, between trying to operate without franchisees, and trying to take their franchises away. What Porsche tried to do and what Tesla is trying to do are not the same.

This is just terrible advice. Now, I don’t qualify for subsidies so my cost basis might be way off compared to some. But the Bronze plans being offered to me here in NC don’t kick in until after I have hit my deductible. So, I need to rack up $6500 (a full year of HSA deposits at the family level) in full price

People will smash windows even if the AC is on full blast and the kid/pet inside is quite comfortable. Everyone wants to be an hero.

I didn’t even know GTalk was still around. I was transitioned — against my will — about a year or two ago. I wish Hangouts would do the side-docking minimization instead of occupying space on my taskbar...I wish the online/off-line thing worked properly (generally I just ping people with a “???” to see if they’re
