What’s it going to do to Stan’s reputation and employability if Phillip and Elizabeth are found to be spies and someone says to Stan “You mean they lived across the street from them for EIGHT years, and you never noticed anything?” I have always read that the FBI district office in Butte, Montana is where careers go…
I prefer The Americans to Breaking Bad, honestly. But both are fantastic, obviously.
The Americans, HENRY REPORT 0607:
a typo so charming it demanded a screenshot and a meme:
She’s not clever enough to pull that off. No one would believe that. If Claudia even smelled a whiff of it, Paige would have been sent off to school “abroad” (as in a Bulgarian dungeon).
Oof. Take your up-vote.
You mean when she kicked the shit out of Gaad? lol
No, Stan isn’t stupid for failing to notice the illegals next door. But man oh man is he going to *feel* stupid if/when he finds out for sure. He’s going to feel like the worst FBI agent ever. I think it will destroy him, though I hope it doesn’t.
This show is great. Really gotta give them a hand for this one. So tense. I nearly lost my head. What a great episode.
damn that was smooth
But as I thought more about them, I warmed to those clips. They’re not hand-holding; they’re a gentle reminder.
Oh man, thanks for reminding me to go listen to the Vice City soundtrack.
This is probably too on the nose, but I wouldn’t mind a needle drop of “Sex As a Weapon” at some point.
I’m just gonna say it: Paige actually IS that hot. That guy must have been pretty drunk indeed.
The minute he kissed Kimmy I felt sick.
Wow, what a fucking episode. Matthew Rhys was incredible throughout especially.
God i don’t know who to root for anymore, except Henry and the mail robot.
Something I think I forgot about last week that was quite striking in today’s context: The Americans deals in blood and literal vomit. Death, sex, blood, vomit. It is never just remotely thematic and literary (although it is always that as well): it is deeply visceral. You can smell the sweat.
Oh my god. Stone cold masterpiece
