Same reason I don’t go to Best Buy. I know what I want. I’ve done the research. I don’t want to be hounded and pestered by a different salesman as I travel through each department.

Yeah, no.

My parents married in 1984. Their combined income at the time was $34k/yr. Adjusted for inflation, that’s about $80k, or $40k each in 2016 money.

THEY BOUGHT A HOUSE AND TWO CARS ON THAT INCOME.

I make $80k/yr myself, and I’m nowhere near being close to being able to purchase a house, much less a new car. And,

Current F-150's headlights & tail lights are still the best in the business...

Love Blur and those who may have been asleep in recent years to new music due to family, life, drinking problems, should be made aware after 15+ year hiatus as a band, out of nowhere, released a new album The Magic Whip.

Again, a project car is not worth the sum of it’s parts and labor, or in this case, half of the parts and labor. Cool car, but CP.

Holy shit. That does make it better. Almost tolerable. Almost.

– Could be a swingout tire carrier, that image is real grainy and dark.

and y’ didn’t even see what’s on the other end of that image.. potentially the Wagoneer. I’ve seen better pics, and of the entire panel. I think there is an early clay mockup too, that has some hints as to the roof design, if not the a-pillars back... but it had a more Renegade-esque nose.

They’re not laying off anybody; they’re temporarily shutting the plant down so they don’t overproduce the truck. All those workers still get paid during the shutdown too.

Currently on eBay.

That is how I felt when I read the price. The title made me think the Porsche was sub $5,000. $9,500 seems expensive for an undesirable car.

these things have the most insane depreciation curve, it barely depreciates at all.

Talk about burying the lede:

There should just be a jalopnik bot that just posts this comment (with various company/trim name changes) in every article, just to get it out of the way.

The wheels won’t lock due to ABS. Weight distribution plays a role, but braking force and grip play significant roles as well.

All you need are stiffer springs on the front or more weight in the back. A bag of sand can fix this.

I’m with you with the front bias cranked up the fronts will lock first. Racecars are also set up with very stiff suspension and low center of gravity. You’d think with race pads, sticky tires and aggressive braking they would literally stand on their nose like the jeep.

AWD doesn’t make a car automatically better. Often times it can induce under steer and be a problem. AWD doesn’t make the Golf R more fun for instance.
