Ha! Except for the lack of power and fuel mileage, driving my Disco is better in every way than driving a XJ. I’ll move back to Jeeps one day, maybe.

Nice XJs/MJs are few and far between these days, especially East of the Mississippi. But yea, the XJ shines most as a neglected POS because they simply refuse to die.

Rota wheels have been doing this for years. Way ahead of their time.

lol.. this guy. A shitty XJ is a shitty XJ, this is coming from a guy who built and wheeled 2 of em.

Saw that post on one of the Jeep Facebook groups. Unbelievable.

Probably because you were so close to the trail system. NY is actually extremely lenient on what they allow to be registered on the road.

I’m renting one in Moab for ESJ. I can’t wait. My buddies and I try and figure out ways to register one in NY after a couple beers... Usually ends up with welding a piece of CJ5 frame+VIN onto it somewhere.

I’m ok with that.

White, Trailhawk edition. on 33s. All day.

I was always setting up for the next turn in my old, lifted XJ. And you couldn’t hit big bumps at certain steering angles or else DEATH WOBBLE

Your name suits you. My last truck before my Disco started out as a soft-roader on a unibody as well.

Absolutely.

10/10 would drive. Just needs a boost and some 33s...

I’m replying to myself because I am so full of want. Even that grill, I can live with. Like even. I actually love the way the Trailhawk Cherokee looks in white with the matte black hood (uhhh Camel Trophy anyone????) and red tow hooks.

HOLY SHIT THIS IS EVERYTHING I WANT PLEASE PLEASE FIAT MAKE THIS A JEEP AND PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY.

That snail makes all the difference. And the AW4 sucks up a lot of the 4.0’s snap up too... D30 shafts last a LOT longer with an auto.

Locked 33s will be fine with that axle.

29 spline will hold locked 35s no problem. Its a beefy axle.

What size tire? 33 or under, weld that 8.25. Keep the 30 open.

Cool. See you there.
