the trans-america LR4s ripped through a lot of factory rubber, they just didn't tell you that in the press releases. i'm sure the same applies here.
Panther platform. Duh.

a week to get a socket? do you even amazon prime, bro?
I need this in my life. Coming to the US?
I'd say they made a splash, albeit a small one. M-M-M-M-M-M-M-Mmmaaybach music.
ok chief. remember that only the approach angle of the XJ is better than the new Cherokee. Departure angle, break over angle, and ground clearance is all better in the new Trailhawk than even an UpCountry XJ.
New Colorado keeps looking better and better. US and Mexico made Tacos are not up to par with what Japan cranks out.
surely you have heard of these things called open diffs, and it doesn't matter if a stock XJ could flex to the moon and back, one tire is gonna spin and the other will be on it's union mandated break. in a new cherokee, all the electrical black magic prevents that.
you're in NY, right? have Sergio send you one to NYC and take it to Rausch Creek. I'll meet you there, beers on me. I'll bring my stepdad's stock XJ.
17 years ago any jeep on the lot could be built up to insane levels. there are guys running KOH in WJs. the new cherokee is the new normal... the JK is one of the select few that still have that "unlimited upgradeability" in mind. the new cherokee is better (on paper) than a stock XJ in pretty much every category.
find someone from NAXJA with a stock/near-stock XJ and take video of the new thing embarrassing it off road (because it will). maybe all the 17 year old jeep kids will shut up after that.
holy poop. may have to buy some surge. i won a surge alarm clark back in the day. i lost a few years off of my life the first morning the alarm went off.... a sound clip of someone screaming, "SSSSUUURRRRRRGEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" is not a pleasant way to wake up.
the new burban is too gigantor to go anywhere more than fire roads. i just want a Z71 colorado with skids and a real rear locking diff.
it is, but joe schmo cant show up with one and use the race course which is a special, always blocked off section of the park's new property. you need to racing in a local event (RCRocs race series, Line Mountain) to use it for "test and tune." those dudes who were there are pretty much household names in ultra4/east…
too bad you can't race a bro-lite there. Another hour or so southwest and you can.
I figured for a dude who owns a baja bug, and pines for quirky non-Camry automobiles you'd be a bit more handy with a wrench.
the bowler chassis is WAY more refined than any TJ/JK is. tossing a JK rubicon around corners like that would results in a lot of (literal) headaches. you'd need a racing spec, thats expensive.
