Oh, I'm flattered. Sure, it's a date. What the hell, this is buried far enough—e-mail me at adam.christina@gmail.com and let me know when.

What about Valeria Richards? The little I've read of her is also annoying.

I approve of Jane Thor because my kid put it this way: she's struggling with an illness, and so am I. ( For my kid, it's anxiety, but she gets it.) Sold. I would like her out of the hands of Aaron—I think the book is a little above a 10 year old—but, conceptually, she works.

OH MY GOSH IT IS SO REFRESHING TO HEAR THIS FROM A FEMINIST.

Whew, not just me, then.

I haven't seen the CW episodes with Vos. My understanding is that they were not kind to him, nor was the novel Dark Disciple.

Don't Luke and Leia flirt in that?

Shhh. Have some more Spectre comics.

I will say this—it's not unfair to ask why superheroes don't get involved in some of the world's bigger problems, but it's a difficult rabbit hole to go down, particularly where traditional superhero books are, at their essence, escapism. You don't want to think about those problems because you're reading a comic

I don't know if I agree. In fairness to @wspunk:disqus, he's saying that the major premise of the story is "what if the quintessential American hero was put in a fundamentally opposite environment"? Ignoring for a moment America's own problems—yeah, yeah, America's no saint itself—the story screams exploration of

It's best not to think too hard about the crap Superman doesn't do. I can't find it, but there's a comic strip where somebody figures out that Superman could save more lives if he spent the rest of his life spinning a giant turbine to give the whole planet free power. It doesn't go well for him even if the rest of

Oh, you're half-right, so I stand corrected. Kanan was a flashback series that took place before and after Order 66, so yes, it was mostly a Clone Wars era story. However, the framing device issues (issues #1, 6, and 12) were set in the Rebels period. Derp.

The Maul comic was based on unused scripts for the Clone Wars cartoon and partially resolved plot points from his last appearance on the show. Also, it featured a Manadlorian whose name I forget, but he was used on a recent episode of Rebels. Basically, it was tied enough to the CW cartoon that the Lucas people

Marvel's been jumping around some. Yes, it's mostly OT-era set, but some. Off the top of my head:
- Obi-Wan and Anakin was set between Episodes I and II
- The upcoming Darth Maul is set before Episode I
- The Obi-Wan flashback issues were set about 10 years after Episode III
- The upcoming Yoda flashbacks will be set

I suspect it'll turn out differently. Marvel has very much been pushing Vader as an unsympathetic asshole.

There's two Vader hardcovers (the second comes out in February) which collect the whole thing, including Vader Down. Probably a better use of your cash.

He's listing to the left.

Personal annoyance: the Clone Wars cartoon went *out of its way* to contradict the comics. I realize that there was a priority in storytelling and tv trumps comics, but going out of their way to run over the comics just hurt.

That was intentional. Dash was added to the story to make up for the fact that Han was a giant chocolate bar.
