Chrome, of course. The video thing happened three different times around the same time last night, and yes, I checked my ad blocker to make sure it was functioning. It successfully blocked other ads on the same pages. I can only imagine Gawker is trying out code to circumvent Ad Blocker.

To those of you who keep saying "Ad Blocker!" ...I'm running Adblocker, and it was active. It actually blocked two other ads on the main page. However, the video circumvented it.

I'm using Adblocker Plus. Their video ad actually -bypassed- it somehow, and this is what's pissing me off. I understand Gawker wants to make money, but that's not okay.

I've never had it happen before except for the few times I've reloaded my machine.

Oh yes, I thought I mentioned. I HAVE ADBLOCKER RUNNING.

I was originally here to see the story... Unfortunately, some obnoxious-ass loud video decided to play instead, covering the story. You don't think I'm actually going to watch it, do you Gawker?

I'm not sure if I'd fit into this category or not. I got hired to do electronics assembly along with the others at my company. Within the year, I ended up being the one doing everything except assembly - IT work, graphic design/promotional materials, programming the wire cutter, even designing mechanical drawings and

This is a very unfair comparison. My friend from Hong Kong has a dog, and it understands what she tells it. You'd never get comprehension on that level when trying to teach science to Americans.

"Netflix is one of the few internet services that is hard to improve upon"

Unless you count adding even more material.

I still don't get what a Maserati has to do with Totoro or Howl's Moving Castle.

Am I the only one here who sees a loose comparison to capitalism, modern banking practices, and completely missing the point?

I don't know how the other services work, but when I was in the Air Force, we were simply issued uniforms. I believe extra sets would have to be purchased, though.

"According to the tactics of the day it was to intimidate the enemy with how awesome you looked (seriously)." Of course, we'd NEVER resort to showy "shock and awe" style techniques this day and age...right? Right?

There's tons of sauce. Hope you like sulfur.

"I'm not your buddy, friend!"

Hasn't this been going on in Hong Kong for literally thousands of years?

He's definitely a tool, but so is Beyonce. Between the two tools, Hawass has accomplished much more with his life.

Isn't it racist to assume that black people only make rap music, and that rap is only made by black people? Jazz, Rock n' Roll, Blues, and pretty much anything which had syncopation can be traced back to black musicians. Hell, even country got its start in black communities before its sounds were stolen..I mean,

I used to use a popcorn popper for roasting... You put a scoop of green beans in there, and you can eventually judge the roast level simply by listening for the cracks (this is how they do it with big roasters too). This is an easy and cheap method because the popper only needs a slight modification (disconnect

Back when I was in college and I had more time on my hands, I used to get green beans from a local roaster and prepare them with a converted popcorn popper. The trick is to replace the thermostat component with a switch. It's a cheap and effective alternative to the expensive air-roasters out there.
