Well, it's here on Giz...so that's to be expected.

How is this real? Generally, when two 737s come this close to each other in mid-air, they are accompanied by massive FIRE-balls, not just regular ones.

My comparison with race issues is completely valid and relevant. Homosexuality is a biological difference, not just a "lifestyle choice." It is who they are, and goes as deep as any "genetic" skin color. The fact that gays are differentiated against, and often oppressed both societally and institutionally, gives them

Hardware never really has been their strong point, has it? Even the XB360 - I don't know a single person who's had one and not gotten the RRoD at one point or another.

Windows 7 is a damn good OS, and honestly I think it seems more polished than OSX in many ways. That said, I LOVE my mac, and I couldn't see myself using anything else for graphics, music, and video.

The guy at JPL showed me a similar but much smaller wheel made for another rover. They're machined out of a solid block of aluminium, but seem to weigh about as much as an empty cardboard box of the same size.

6 should be: It has a FRIGGIN' LASER ON ITS HEAD.

If your "speech" is primarily being used in the goal of denying a minority population a right that others are not denied, and your money is supporting groups which, in some cases, even advocate physical harm (and have caused multiple suicides) to that minority group, then it's considered hate speech.

Somehow I knew this was coming, even though we all know Tesla was too busy doing complex AC tech to have had much to do with Edison's "borrowing" of others' light bulb designs.

Their version of the Saturn V had a few too many engines.

We should make more Saturn V's, simply because they are the single most awesome thing ever produced by humans.

You'd be surprised how much of what you're watching today is done on DSLR's. A large portion of music videos and commercials are shot exclusively on 5/7D, and they're used all the time in TV for more coverage. The 7D does have problems with overheating if you're shooting 14 minute clip after 14 minute clip

The boy on the picture's name is Banjo. Perhaps he has a little sister named Kazooie?

I still haven't figured out where to put all the music I posted on Myspace, nor where I could get an address like Myspace.com/Pianokeys (This is supposed to say Myspace dot Com Slash Pianokeys). When I give people the address, though, they look at me like I've just given then an AOL E-mail.

It is ridiculously easy and cheap to record high-quality, or at least good-enough-for-mp3 material these days, if you know what you're doing. With a computer, 200 bucks for a USB mic and some headphones, and some old blankets, you can record a passable album.

The United States has never been a democracy - It's a democratic republic, or a representative democracy at best. We "elect" from a narrow choice of people that were lucky enough to either be rich or find someone to fund them, usually in return for influence. We are effectively a non-democracy, so do you think we

Yes, but that's not why people were getting their photo with it!

Was at the Getty the other day... You wouldn't believe how many people were taking their picture next to the painting "Man with a Hoe" and its sign. The picture is simply a guy on a farm.

Nah, that's still pretty arbitrary. We could have based it on 8 ("thumbs aren't fingers!") which divides beautifully and plays nicely with binary... Or included our elbows and made it 12, having many of the benefits of 8, with the added bonus of a factor of 3 as well as 2. 10...10 doesn't really do anything special.

As opposed to when they come home in the dark...?
