I was trying to work that out - So the ram is not user replaceable? That in itself would be a problem for me, especially as I can't see myself working well with only 8GB of ram in the future. Prices are dropping, I might be upgrading my current 13" to 16gb soon.

The only time I've ever used ethernet with anything film-related was with a node system once, and that was with desktops. The big problem I'm seeing is the lack of firewire- we still use that a lot!

Any of them going to have that awesome hi-res screen?

For those of you wondering what anyone would need all this resolution for: These computers are designed for MAKING movies, not just watching them.

Intel integrated graphics has come a very long way since the old days of the GMA915 and their old-school on board options. Probably BECAUSE of AMD's combined chips, Intel was forced to upgrade their graphics capabilities considerably. I have the Intel 3000 graphics package included on-chip with my i7, and I've never

Why has there not been some type of executive order/congressional act overturning this, given the importance that helium has taken in modern manufacturing?

As the brain is basically the same consistency as jello, I doubt a hollowpoint would be stopped before bouncing around and turning it into mush first. There's a reason they're illegal in a lot of places.

Forcing people to be materially poorer: Check.

Isn't our government basically mandating us to get rid of our helium stockpile at pennies on the dollar or something? I remember hearing something, but I'm not sure I believe it given how massively stupid it sounds... Then again it is our government...

I personally think Burbank is quite a bit nicer than the valley... and yes, I mean the typical "the Valley," as in SFV...

You've probably never lived in the Valley... Not that you're missing anything..

What's crazy is that I've also seen a disproportionate amount of fireplaces here, too, even in apartments. I didn't even know they MADE apartment fireplaces until I got here... They're usually not very effective at warming, though. Most of the heaters in the apartments are also gas, and don't even work half the time.

Here in the valley, as well as hwood, weho, and Burbank I've seen maybe two electric tops the entire time I've been here... Maybe we're living in parallel universes, where the only difference is rangetop selection.

How does a lack of amenities in the apartment make the people within it trashy? I will agree that the microwave filter-fan is mostly pointless though.

Don't know about where you are, but installation preference largely seems to be regional. In my hometown back in Ohio, nearly everyone has an electric stove. Out here in Los Angeles, though, you will almost never find a rangetop that does not use gas. Maybe it's because they're used to the freeway toxins anyway.

Used a floppy disk duct taped over the front of a 300mm zoom. I didn't even bother trying to find a welding mask.

This looks like someone combined the rear end of a Cessna 337 with... what is that, a Pacer? Hardly a "car plane."

A large enough mass of water appears blue regardless - it has nothing to do with the sky. This is why even indoor pools appear blue.

Who are you trying to stereotype or insult here? The situation is, as usual, much more complicated than that. A person not buying their cheap beer or ipad would not change poverty or the space program. Wanting to live a comfortable human life rather than subsist in abject squalor isn't entitlement, and in fact our

Meebo stopped being relevant when they killed the chats and a lot of the collaborative tools. Now that no one really uses MSN/AIM/Yahoo except a handful of old-schoolers, they've somehow gone from irrelevant to extremely irrelevant.
