"I go home, take off clothes
Smoke a bowl, watch a whole TV movie
I was supposed to be writing
The most beautiful poems
And completely revealing
Divine mysteries up close
I can't say that I'm feeling
All that much at all
At 27 years old."
- Okkervil River, On Tour With Zykos. A great summation of what it is to be 27.

Lot of great-sounding stuff on this list, but no mention of OKJA? Gotta be my most anticipated of the year.

This was my thought too.

The premise could make a great book… just not this book.

Night Film is one of the worst books I've ever read. I can barely believe it got published. Don't get what people see in that trash.

Near the beginning but not the opening scene.

Agreed. Seemed balanced and thoughtful to me as well.

It's awful. If anything, Nabin was too kind.

Lullaby's my favorite too. Of his later stuff, Rant is pretty good.

Yeah, no, it didn't, and he wasn't.

This is my exact experience with every episode of Spontananeation. Everything before the improv — gold. Improv — incomprehensible mess.

Agree with everything except the pan of Once a Cop. Really underrated film. Less fun than the others but fantastic action.

I remember they wheeled a TV into the classroom so we could watch it. It did not seem weird at all at the time. In retrospect, it seems INSANE.

It's fantastic, much better than Red Dragon, and on some days I prefer it to SOTL as well.

You don't need both Daft Punk Is Playing At My House and Drunk Girls. The former is more than enough to represent the party single side of LCD. Also, no Someone Great? C'mon. That one's essential.

These are good picks, but my favorite ep is the one for Spoon's "Inside Out." It's one of Spoon's best songs, and I loved it even more after hearing all the cool ideas they put into the production.

Hey Jude, No Reply, Let It Be? Did you accidentally publish part two to yesterday's list?
(I know there will be a million pointlessly outraged comments like this, but I DON'T CARE).

B+ seems right to me. I liked it, but I laughed less than I did at the first three episodes (all of which were up there with the very best of Veep).

Huh, thought this was the best episode of the series to date, personally.

The last good Star Wars movie came out 35 years ago. Surely there's something else for people to get excited about?
