Why the hell would anyone want that?

Moto isn't in the business of marketing to those people.

Put your hate-on away buddy, it's not very impressive.

Would you buy it at 1199? In fact, why would ANYONE buy a tablet at 1199?

I don't disagree, it doesn't matter much to me either. I just wanted an excuse to tie in hipsters, skinny jeans and iPhones.

@Almightywhacko: Sharp edges are just a bad design decision. Thinness matters to people who wear skinny jeans, like hipster iPhone users.

@JarvmanBronx960: Your response goes to prove that cognizant thinking is dead in this world.

I love that both Gizmodo and Engadget are running this as if it's the final price, the title reads as if it's fact, and then there's a quip at the very end of the article that says it's may be a placeholder... No one reads that far in this short attention span world. Way to damage a product that's not even out guys!

People think that the Xoom is overpriced, they forget how absurd the pricing on smartphones is before contract.

@Onizuka-GTO: I don't remember ever complaining about iCandy on iOS, but maybe it's because I'm also a part of the Android Collective, I'm automagically wrong.

@ernie.: When does Apple do them?

@Nitesh!: I've also read that it's more natural to run on the ball of the foot, not the heel, but shoes have changed that, and not for the better. I don't run much but when I do I try to focus on running on the ball.

Quick, get them on the Internet! It's a human right!

Can't wait for this to launch. I'll be ditching a phone entirely, I don't talk enough on the phone to justify having a rate plan, Sipdroid with Google Voice and Sipgate will do quite well for me.

@GunFishin: @certifiedfryguy: Why? Moto makes some of the most solid phones around, the tablet also looks very solid(and apparently feels solid to the reviewers)

@Xagest: After seeing Honeycomb, I've got no interest whatsoever in a Windows 7 tablet.

@NuevoLeon: A lot of nerds also said Android would never overtake iPhone, but it happened.

@justinpe: Your comment reads as if Android is already being dominated... I think you should look at all the sales numbers and market share numbers out there and reconsider the part in parenthesis.

@djdare: How many did they have available for pre-order? Don't know? Neither do I.

Jobs didn't invent the laptop OR the personal computer... He's also not destroying anything since the PC and laptop sales are not stagnating.
