Drove both the FoST and the FiST. The Focus felt huge, bloated, and I despise the interior layout and quality. The Fiesta felt cheap and very poorly built. And the turbo punch was unwelcome. I felt like I was merely along for the ride and not in control of the car.
A stiffer rear ARB isn’t going to impact ride quality all that much. I haven’t lowered mine, nor do I plan to. My summer wheels and tires are not flush- 35-offset wheels and 235 width tires will do that. If I lower my car I will have clearance issues.
I had the opportunity to drive my car on track at Mid Ohio, and yes it is fantastic fun to throw around at higher speeds. What I want is more enthusiasm at city speeds. The car is so capable, but at safe speeds around town, it just feels dull; almost as if it’s bored.
2016 GTI SE 6MT in Night Blue with 4 doors. I personally think the MK7 looks odd with only two doors. But this is why we options. And I agree that you have a rare car.
Count me among the converted. I had the same opinions of VW and the GTI wasn’t even on my radar when shopping for a new daily 3 years ago. After getting to drive the “poverty-spec” launch edition MK7 Golf, I was astonished at how organized and logical the interior was, and that the build quality was mind-blowing for…
Also, let’s revisit interior quality after 3-5 years of ownership. I’d put money the GTI still doesn’t make much noise, whereas the Boostang would look, feel, and sound every bit the American car it is.
Like I said, let them rally all they want. At the local landfill. They can spend their day marching around among actual garbage and they will smell like what they have to say.
I live in the area and agree that the revitalization of downtown is a wonderful thing.
I am hetero, white, married, and male. I can only speak for myself though.
Buttttttttttt, infusion should be thoughtful and meaningful....
Amen, Jason.
Since Kinja be Kinja, I am replying to voice my approval, rather than clicking the star and reducing your “likes”.
You should take the opportunity to drive one, especially with the Performance Package equipped.
What about the GTI did you not like? What equipment was on the car you drove?
Following that logic, changing the oil means you have an entirely new car!
Ah! Guano. Right in my eye.
Agreed. I bought my GTI based on how excellent the interior is compared to everything else I had looked at. Even the base Golf Launch Edition that I had the chance to drive a few times felt like I was sitting in an Audi, or at least far closer to one than any car in that price bracket ought to feel like.
From Reddit:
I played for hours yesterday and never got anything related to this new ‘quest’. Is this required? Can a filthy casual continue to simply play the game without getting mired in the ongoing narrative that I continually care less about? Granted, Bungie making all this story within the game is a good move and I am glad…
