I gather that from reading the comments here and on the VW forums. It’s also total bullshit. VW needs people to want their cars right now, so they should be making efforts to get these into the hands of people who want them.

If I ever do get it, this will be the first brand-new car I have purchased. I am not going to settle.

I know how tires work. I have a set of winter wheels and tires for my current DD. The issue is that the cost of buying another set of wheels/tires along with buying the car puts it outside my budget.

I dislike this dealer, and they have a horrible reputation, so I am not at all surprised I haven’t heard anything.

Yes, but then I am not just buying the car, I am also buying all the mods required to make the car drivable year round as well. That puts it out of my budget. And getting used doesn’t interest me on a car like that. Unless you are 100% certain the previous owner did not abuse it, I would want a new one to be sure it…

Ohio. We have winter. So, yes I would worry. I would also have two sets of wheels with season-appropriate tires if I were going to get a BRZ, which I’m not because I did not like it after driving it on several occasions.

The BRZ. It is too small for me, and I hate how the rear steps out without much provocation. Now, I could very well be driving it wrong, having only driven FWD cars. But for use a my DD, I do not want to have to worry about it sliding around on me without warning.
