Bill Maher is an asshole. I remember last year when he told us Bostonians to stop being such whiners about our city being bombed. I mean only 4 people lost their lives, including an 8 year old, and only like a couple dozen people were permanently disabled. NBD.

they are loaded with sexist bullshit for some reason.

But if the carpet matches the drapes, sometimes it is a gray area. ZING!

(I'll see myself out).

I don't think there's any gray area. If someone, male or female, grabs your junk uninvited, they should expect a slap in return.

Except his wife is as big of a douchebag as he is.

Ms. Stewart - did you notice you got a shout out in the updates section..."Special thanks to Dodai Stewart and Jezebel for doing a follow-up piece addressing the fundraiser. It has made all the difference."

Plus he is the only character more annoying that Piper on OITNB.

Because you're NOT paying for it, you fucking moron. The EMPLOYEE is, and ignorant assholes like you are telling me women you're going to take THEIR money and THEIR rights because you hate sex and women.

And, you mean "immoral" not "amoral". Amoral = lack of morality. Immoral = of questionable morality.

There are laws MANDATING that I carry car insurance. I can't get a loan without it. Are you saying the bank then, gets a say in what kind of car I drive?

You're so not clear on how this whole thing works. Neither the company nor tax dollars are paying for this. Alternately, why don't we have a say? What if we don't want, idk, our tax dollars covering your heart medication when all you do is eat shitty food? What if we don't want our tax dollars to give blood

Ding ding ding! One of the first things I thought of after HL is the inversion. It's pretty much illegal for a potential employer to ask an interviewee their religious beliefs to help determine if they should get the job, but now interviewees will have to ask the corporation's "religious beliefs" to determine

I wonder how long before we get the corporations are people and people don't have to divulge their religious beliefs and therefore corporations don't have to divulge their religious beliefs, so we'll just let you know the next time you go to your pharmacy to pick up your birth control ruling. Have fun arguing with

Doesn't his claim that he has rape babies on his staff disprove the whole no pregnancy by rape thing right there?

I agree. There is a major class component here. This lady is doing this because she can't afford child care, not because she is stupid. It's not the same thing as playing outside with your friends all summer long, with your mom at home ready to make a sandwich for you. This headline should have read Minimum Wage

Of course it's okay. We're talking about a 9-year-old, not a 4-year-old.

Sweet, silly Dodai. They don't want you having sex at ALL. Unless the man decides he wants spawn.

I just re-read Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing (so I could discuss it with my 8 year-old who was reading it), and that kid went to Central Park with a friend and his little brother Fudge (who was, like, 2), without an adult. The book was based on Judy Blume's experiences as a parent in the 70s.

What's really upsetting about this story is that it's happening at the same time as reproductive rights restrictions. So: Don't have an abortion, don't have access to birth control, but once you have that kid, child care? You're on your own.

Wow… my sister and I often played at the local park all day during the summer while my parents worked while growing up. We had a neighbour who we would go to for lunch, band-aids and bathroom breaks, but otherwise we happily played in the sun with all the other kids. It was great, and I have never once felt like my
