Come on ladies pick your battles. This is NOT a big enough issue to get crazy about.

Yep, and clitoris comes from the Greek for "key," you know, like keyword.
Mmm, I dunno. Vagina is Latin for "sheath" or "scabbard" so you'd think you'd see that far more than "tail."
As perfect as the tragic ending of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog was, it still sets itself up perfectly to do a musical riff on all sorts of wonderful superhero trope plotlines. Will the ELE be too horrible for Dr. Horrible's tastes? Will Captain Hammer regain his confidence and take down the extra-horrible Dr.…
Yeah bro, we all know what it means but it doesn't adequately describe what we are experiencing . Women are allowed to be upset or feel slighted by microaggressions; this is one.
actually, it IS a big enough issue. All rights issues start with a collection of small issues, some which other people think are insignificant. Any double standard needs to be exposed. That is how change happens.
No, and stop it with the "BUT THIS OTHER ISSUE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHATEVER ISSUE IS ON THIS BLOG RIGHT NOW THAT I'M READING ABOUT".
Also, because black people have previously been negatively associated with monkeys you're saying that a black child (or person for that matter) can NEVER AGAIN be associated with monkeys in any way?
Do you know what "feign" means?
Nobody is acting like this is the feminist hill to die on, that doesn't mean it isn't worth pointing out.
It's an example of something that actually IS a problem - the demonization of women's genitalia.
It's not a problem in a vacuum, as your post assumes.
I agree with your first paragraph.
The Matrix
And it's not even close.
They don't actively murder them. Their mistake leads to a death. That's not murder. The mistake is caused by the fact that our brains are fallible and imperfect. There are such things as tragic accidents. It may help you to sleep at night by telling yourself that it could never happen to you and that there are no…
These people are not inhibited by alcohol. They're inhibited by the fact that the human brain is fallible and imperfect. You can avoid drinking alcohol. You cannot avoid having a human brain. If you've ever forgotten your keys, wallet or cell phone, you could forget a child. That's a fact.
Since lapses in memory are extremely hard to prevent, I'm not sure how you think punishing people after the fact is going to fix the memory problems of the population at large. What could possibly be a better incentive than your child not DYING??? You really think people are more motivated by prison than the death of…
Well, I've put my dog in the car as part of a day of running errands. Dog beach/park, then store, then dry-cleaners, etc. A dog doesn't have to be in the car just for one trip to one place. I've also never left the dog in the car for more than 10 minutes in 90+ degree heat.
I hope life is nice up on that ivory tower where you're free from mistakes and imperfections. I guess the psychologists and human memory and brain experts in the article just don't know as much as you do. The journalist won a Pulitzer, but they're just not as smart as you. Good for you. Someone should give you a prize.
It is entirely possible for anyone to forget a baby or pet in a car. Read this. It won a Pulitzer prize is one of the best long form news stories I have ever read. It's hard to read and you will cry, but it's important information everyone should know.
