Right now he’s on Gabapentin for pain and Acepromazine for sedation. We have to be really careful with his meds, because he has some liver issues — nothing too scary yet, but consistently high blood test readings that medication can’t seem to bring down.

If the DNA testing was accurate, he’s a mutt through and through — 25% Lhasa apso, 25% chihuahua, 12.5% chow, 12.5% miniature schnauzer, and 25% too mixed up to figure out.

He has a bed sheet that we’d both been sleeping in — I brought it when I dropped him off. And he’s definitely eating the same food. He even has one of his own beds.

I haven’t had it in a while, but from elementary school until well into my 30s I had a recurring dream about being on a beach surrounded by everything I owned, desperately trying to save it all as the tide came in. I had it fairly frequently, but the sense of complete and utter panic and loss never got any better.

I actually didn’t recognize him for a minute when I first saw the text. He just looks so old and sad :-/

I’m so sorry. That’s heartbreaking all around.

A few weeks ago I posted about my dog, Buster, who was just diagnosed with a degenerative spine disease. After a week of trying to keep him on bed rest, it became painfully clear that there’s no way I can do it properly (I live on the second floor, and he refuses to poop anywhere on our block, let alone the apartment

When I was in elementary school, my mother had an ancient car with a push button transmission. At one point when I was about 8 she left me and my 3-year-old brother in the car while she went grocery shopping. Also not punishing animals, so I’d delete #10 as well.

If you read the news you understand that women are frequently harassed or objectified based on what they dress.

Emily Yoffe is a walking, talking example of the double standard. She’s spent a considerable amount of time and energy trying to reinforce the notion that drunk men can’t be blamed for raping women, while drunk women are entirely to blame for getting themselves raped. Men who get drunk are just boys being boys, and

It’s hard to decide! I think Jason may be winning at the moment, though. I actually laughed out loud at “And it was dope. The end. By Jason Mendoza.” And the sparkler! I love him so much.

That ride freaked me the hell out, too, but it was plain old claustrophobia. I really like the idea of an underwater restaurant, assuming there’s room to move around.

I hate Marco and his mailbox head!

There was a federal extension in place for several years after the financial crisis hit. IIRC, they killed the program in 2013.

This. Betsy DeVos has made it her life’s crusade to make sure as many federal education dollars as possible go directly to rich people without them having to deal with any of that pesky “educating children” stuff.

Good god. “You’re damaging an entire industry”? Fuck Barbara Walters.

So how long until a magistrate issues arrest warrants for the people he shot at?
