Lore is arguably what star wars is all about. Hard to have a story if everything surrounding it is barebones. Reasons like that see why shows like the Clone Wars are so good.

99.9%? That's absolutely absurd. There are some ridiculous complaints but I'd say a lot more of than are valid than just that. 

Such a minority seems to have a big affect upon toy sales, user reviews, DVD/blue ray sales, future star wars movies. Makes you start to question just how small that minority is. Maybe, just maybe, they aren’t actually a minority and you’re using a stupid fallacy to discredit any argument they make.

Is the resistance a traditional military? No. They don’t have to adhere to typical military doctrine, they can be very open with their subordinates. In fact that’s where the heart of the rebels comes in. That they aren’t as ruthless and uncaring as the Empire or First Order.
