What's the gesture? Trump puts a 90-120 day halt to migrants from 7 countries, so we'll cancel the Oscars? I just don't know why anyone thinks that would help anyone in any circumstance.

Oh my lord. A rational opinion, that could be viewed as constructive by both sides. You should know by now, that kind of thinking doesn't work. It's pick a side and do everything you can to tear down the other. (I agree with everything you said.)

People are commenting about that because this is an entire discussion in regards to what kind of "message" it would send to cancel the Oscars. Of course they're self serving. But that's the reason why cancelling the awards given to the film industry stars for their work in 2016 wouldn't send a message to anyone. The

"Cancelling the Oscars would send a real message"

Cancelling the Oscars would mean nothing, to anyone, apart from the Film industry itself.

I read reviews for this show on a couple different sites, because the AV Club review is so predictable. As I'm watching the show, I can tell immediately what lines the AV Club will use to hammer it's point home, and the very first line of this review is one I identified. As soon as I heard it, I knew the review would

Put him on a horse with a sword and shield. Wouldn't look very small.

He's Ragnar. His way of thinking was so advanced from the rest of the Vikings. I don't think it's sketchy to believe that in the little time he had with Ivar, he saw something in his though machinations that led him to believe he was more a free thinker.

Yeah, I know the story of Rollo, he's just such a great character on the show that you'd figure they'd find some time with him. It's not as if he needs to be with the Vikings to make some sort of Rollo story in Paris interesting. There has to be some governing going on over there, some problems they're facing, or

And that's why Ragnar always knew Ivar was more aligned with him, as opposed to the all the other Vikings.

That's why it's unexpected.

Thanks.

Magnus has to come back. And I totally agree. He's much more sympathetic, and it might have actually started right where you described, the throwing out of Magnus.

Yes, but they view the Vikings as heathens, and they've seen them in battle multiple times. So why would they assume they know anything beyond brute force?

Aethelwulf changed after his pilgrimage with Alfred. It's not all of the sudden. He's always hated Ragnar and the Vikings, but ever since returning, he's been much better towards Judith and Alfred.

With no more Ragnar, you'd think a partial cure for that would be more Rollo. But Rollo has been completely absent since returning to Paris.

The action was about 10 minutes of the episode. If that matters.

Seems like reading this review and writing this post took another 10 minutes off your timeline.

Yes, 8 hours of your life are very important, and Tom Hardy is not a successful actor.

I will say, I like Aethelwul much better this way. He's actually an Englishman that you can half root for.
