I saw a new Aviator in person the day before yesterday, it’s gorgeous. I can’t say I’ve taken 5 minutes to walk around an ogle a brand new Cadillac in the last few years.
Neutral: I considered it, went and looked at an ATS 2.0T. Needless to say I walked away pretty unimpressed. Cadillac really has no panache, there really isnt a model that Im like oh thats nice. Yet seeing a new Navigator or Continental I about break my neck to look at. Cadillac is in the same kinda space as Infiniti,…
To clarify, Lincoln has a clear brand identity now: quiet flight on land. Their cars are like luxury private airplanes minus the wings. The names of the cars even evoke that. I’ve driven the new Continental and the new Navigator and they’re just effortlessly nice. They put you at ease. You’re not going to beat any…
Who thinks an S-Class is a good first car for you dog? I mostly blame the parents here.
More like good boy, dumb owner.
That’s a good attempt at a burn. I guess.
I’m officially an old and a BMW fan. Had some of their obscure cars (Z3 coupe and Z4MCoupe) and a 2002 in high school. But if they are only now breaking your heart, you have the tolerance and patience of a Saint. They lost my gaze years ago.
I find it fascinating that BMW must occupy every single micro-niche CUV / SUV / SAC segment that Mercedes is in but when it comes to hot wagons - which Mercedes most definitely has covered with E63 AMG - BMW is like nah, we’re out. How many X4 Ms did BMW sell last year? Has anyone actually seen one of these…
I was thinking the exact same thing. One of many reasons I love driving my e30. Shoot, even my 340i doesn’t have lane assist or AAC which obviously wasn’t a deal breaker for me.
Yeah I don’t understand the point of the post. It’s better than shit like the Accord “Special Edition” which is really just a way to sell a few more base model Accords before the models change over.
“I guess, technically, we’re only saying goodbye to this generation of the A3, but the car really isn’t going anywhere.”
Last Real BMW. Wear that moniker proudly.
This was my exact thought while reading this. I have a 1994 740i and a 1992 525it, and neither of them have any driver assist aside from ABS. Cars from the 90's are awesome.
GM has 46,000 UAW employees, Bloomberg reported based on company head counts, falling behind Ford by around 9,000 and FCA by 1,200. That’s compared to 2011, when Bloomberg reports via the Center for Automotive Research that GM had 46,000, Ford had 41,000, and FCA had 23,150.
better pissed off than pissed on
Come to think of it, I think we’ve had this conversation before.
As a former owner of a 1971 Buick Le Sabre, and as someone who lived in a somewhat rugged rural area at that time, I feel compelled to inform you of just how wrong you are. That car was driven to that location, and it was driven out of it. Back then, we drove cars like this everywhere. Want to go skinny dipping at the…
I’ve had it with this fad of calling these monstrosities coupés, I wish Jalopnik would introduce a ban on the word whenever it’s misused by automakers? Maybe find a code word to use instead of it. I vote for poopé, but I bet you can come up with something better.
Thanks pal. I just attended my last therapy session for my childhood trauma and then you had to show me this. I’m on the phone with my therapist as I type this. Hope you are happy with yourself.
