the CEO of my company just bought one, a TRD Pro. he probably makes 2-3 mil/yr and he drives a 4runner because he likes it. he also happens to be really into the outdoors which helps.
I think they already have the Highlander to fill this niche, and hopefully they’ve learned that there is room for an off-road focused SUV. They also sell the 4Runner heavily in Australia where it’s the Fortuner.
