Totally looks like Mazda’s new font. Here’s a comparison between the font on Mazda’s site (top) and Optima (bottom). Of course Mazda calls their new font “Mazda Type” and while there are a few minor differences, it is mostly the same (at least to fairly amateur eyes such as mine). If you click to enlarge you can see

Broadway

Blackadder ITC - very shaky and piratey ARRR!

Bauhaus 93

Gigi - this reminds of the 90s when someone had a WACKY or ZANY sense of style with tons of tendrils, a la the frame around the peephole in the large apartment on Friends.

Lucida Handwriting (this reminds me of my 10th grade World History teacher who used to use this on our handouts). She was a very inspiring teacher.

Engravers MT

Optima

Apple Chancery (which when I was a kid in the early 90s was called Zapf Chancery and all the kids at school used this font if they wanted to exude elegance lol)

Bradley Hand

Here’s Papyrus for ya! TBH it’s actually not bad - it has a rough around the edges look

American Typewriter

HAHA Comic Sans is just so... Comically bad. I’ll share a few others because I have nothing better to do right now than play with fonts.

Pretty much anything M539 restorations does for older BMWs is the most satisfying thing you’ll see all day, especially because it doesn’t cost half a million dollars. Sreten is awesome and so incredibly thorough, his care for these cars really shows especially since he’s using his own money to do it.

I wish radio stations would stop playing Tim McGraw’s “Indian Outlaw” song from 1994. It is wildly outdated and completely cringeworthy. I was surprised to hear it on SiriusXM recently. And apparently it was controversial when it was released as well:

If you want the V8 without going full-M, the only way to get it is the M550i.

You’ll have to let the manual thing go because at this rate there is no car this size available with one (maybe there is one somewhere, but clearly they’re on the way out).

Lol he does do that thing a lot where he spreads his feet apart and swings his arm in the air. I was okay with it because of his cute enthusiasm, but these really negative takes he has lately are ruining that.

I LOVE that they do that! It’s absolutely true - at that price point interior parts should not move that much when pressed and certainly should not creak like they’re about to fall apart.

Compare today’s Mercedes (the company) to the one that engineered the W140 - this article is absolutely excellent and outlines how they used the most ‘noble’ materials for the interior of the W140. A complete 180 from the company that slaps together this crap today.
