The interior in general is a mess and will not age gracefully. All the shiny black trim bits on the console look great in photos but not in actual use. I always fail to see how a material that picks up fingerprints and dust so easily says “luxury”.

Dog tracking!

The US needs to get rid of that requirement - I’m sorry to sound heartless but the assumption needs to be that someone is wearing their seatbelt. If you choose not to wear your seatbelt, well... you know.

I don’t really have a strong opinion about the standard Corvette although it does look overdone. And actually I don’t like it at all when designs are extremely over the top but somehow the C8.R photos in this article looks better than the regular Corvette...? It somehow looks more balanced and finished.

If you’ve come here looking for people to balance out your decision... you’re in the wrong place. I FULLY 100% SUPPORT THIS PURCHASE!

Right, so as long as this pop-up message is on the screen, you can’t even adjust your wiper settings. Going from being cumbersome to adjust them to impossible does not seem like a good idea if the driver can’t see well.

Ha, coincidentally I read the Wikipedia article on Ronco a few days ago. They went out of business in 2018. But boy do I remember those infomercials about the food dehydrator and rotisserie! I always wanted to be in the audience.

Hahaha I mean it totally fits the answer

Yea definitely needs a boxier look to pay homage to the original which was on sale for decades. Praying they pull through.

How depressing. As a palate cleanser look at the array of colors available on the 1989 W126 S Class

Of course one of the key issues for slow sales could be attributed to the fact that the starting price for the M8 comes in around $133,000 for the coupe and $145,000 for the drop-top. You combine an expensive car with an economic crisis due to COVID-19, and you have a recipe for fewer customers.

Lol which car did this happen to?

And I still think that this generation A6 wagon’s rear rake is too steep. It would be a lot more usable (and I think a more attractive silhouette) if the rear was less angled. I find the overall shape of the original allroad more appealing.

This is the problem with nearly all wagons on sale in the U.S. They’re priced such that they rarely make financial sense and you have to really want a wagon specifically to be in the market for it.

The one in the Hemmings link has less than 40k miles so the low mileage is playing into the high price, most will not be worth this much. And this was the era when Mercedes engineered for longevity so if properly taken care of even those with more miles should present well. According to the R107 page on Bring a

Was thinking SL but the successor R129 - it’s modern enough that it won’t feel like you’re driving an ‘old car’ as your DD:

I 100% agree - all of my friends (in our early 30s) have moved on to spending most of their social media time on Instagram. They still have FB but do not really use it (and don’t get me started on how dumb it is that Instagram is owned by FB). They all ask whyyy I don’t join Instagram and I tell them that car forums

I have trypophobia but for some reason this isn’t triggering it.  It’s usually anything regarding tiny holes in skin ewww

Yea at this point it’s like we just need to get over it.

Mmmmmm mortadella my favorite. As an Italian I have a weakness for all salumi
