Not anymore for Buick, they discontinued the Regal TourX.

Have to make a brief correction on that model rundown - the M45 later became the M35 (V6) and M45 (V8). Both engines were later upgraded and became the M37 and M56.

As someone who has owned an older BMW, 100% YES on the sunshield front.

Just did a little internet sleuthing and it seems that the first time the word was in a slang dictionary, it was the mid-1910s and was spelled ‘doozy’. But there are others who claim it definitely came from Duesenberg and doozy is just an easier slang spelling.

I’ve always been a 4 door guy and that Duesenberg is perfection (or shall I say, the bee’s knees!). Reminds me of when I used to watch the scene in 101 Dalmatians over and over when Cruella gets stuck in the snow then raced around. I thought it was so cool.

The Sultan of Brunei’s name frequently comes up when people find these intensely modified cars ordered by him - for example this one-off W140 S73 AMG (yep, that’s a large-ass V12) made even crazier by converting the S class into a wagon! Interestingly they used the front end of the 140 coupe instead of the sedan.

So you thought the Alfa would be more unreliable or it actually ended up being more unreliable than his e60 M5? If the latter, that is shocking.

Shockingly there is also a Google Sphere view of that one parked in the harbor

When Quadrasteer came out on the Sierra Denali I was a freshman in high school and begged my dad to go to the GMC dealer so we could test drive one. We did and it was very cool how much is reduced the turning radius of that long truck. I saw one in the wild about 6 months ago but yea it’s extremely rare to see.

Those people were right in spirit, since it’s essentially a Scion iQ with Aston badges 😆

As the owner of a 1999 W140 S500 I concur! It’s funny, too, because the W140 is not really known for being a ‘looker’ but it exuded presence and class in a way that all subsequent S Classes have not.

I’ve heard the same complaints from Delta passengers... they sure it’s related to these uniforms and not just a severe allergy to flying Delta?

It was made even worse by the fact that it replaced the exquisitely styled E38 7 series. The juxtaposition was incredibly jarring.

OMG I just saw the Genesis G70 has a green paint color. And I just noticed they have the best configurator I’ve ever used - super smooth and has great views of the car.

Came here to say the same thing - I want this thing to fail miserably but the general public is so stupid they’ll ‘sell’ (lease etc.) a ton I’m sure.

Whoops - thank you all for pointing out that not everyone avoids infotainment screens and seeks out old school physical gauges like I do (E39 and W140 owner here). I completely forgot that people buy new cars hahaha. Auto headlights it is! The only thing about that is that you can override it and turn the lights

Instead of addressing the brightness of DRLs-only, they just need to get rid of backlit gauge clusters when the headlights are off. If you get in your car at night and can’t see your gauges, it’s obvious your lights aren’t on. Don’t know why/when we decided that gauges needed to be lit all the time.

The only living thing I don’t care about in this story is the stupid driver. There is that better?

Must know, what is your current DD? The only things my DD has from your list are an auto transmission and dual zone climate control. And it’s a Mercedes S Class! Well, from 1999. It’s amazing when the focus was on build quality and longevity and not all the useless crap you could pack into a car.

We all care about the dog here because it’s actually the ‘stupid’ human who caused the thing in the first place
