I have endless problems with disqus, I have no idea why. I think Kinja is actually pretty decent - as an end user. As a content creator, I’d be about ready to take it behind the barn like old yeller.

It’s been more than a decade since I’ve read it, but the theme of colonial imperialism being a kind of pointless quest of hopeless madness was what I took away from it. I liked that bit. I should probably read it again. Also it makes Apocalypse Now make that much more sense.
