Guaranteed Summer Leave!*
Any response to summers off always has to start with, but they aren’t paid for that time. So yeah, you get two months off, unpaid. So you could do that at literally any job if you wanted to.
I mean, they did trade that guy to the Cardinals not that long after that particular incident.
Belichick isn’t perfect. He makes plenty of mistakes, mostly to do with his pride. He is just head and shoulders above everyone else so his mistakes don’t usually come back to bite him in the ass so spectacularly.
Well considering the Pats played the whole game with literally two corners, I think playing a corner instead of a safety on the third wide receiver could have made a difference. But we shall never know. Also, I’m just responding to this being a woulda/coulda/shoulda situation. Not saying it would have made a…
No, but in a game with literally 4 non scoring drives a team’s number one corner might have made a slight difference on a few of those scoring ones. Just saying it could have made a difference. Which was the exact thing the original poster brought up. This is a pretty big woulda/shoulda/coulda situation.
Yeah, I mean that as a “what if Belichick wasn’t being dumb” kind of way. It is a woulda/shoulda/coulda situation. Like literally they coulda played him, the probably looking at those offensive numbers shoulda played him.
I mean, probably not. But in a game with literally 4 non scoring drives, you’d think a teams number 1 corner could have maybe stopped one? That could change what happens the rest of the way. Not saying it would have, but it is a pretty big woulda/shoulda/coulda.
I think you missed the whole “Malcolm Butler being benched” thing. Like that is a HUGE woulda/coulda/shoulda.
What my wife and I do since we got married, both paychecks go to a joint checking account. Then we put some in a savings/emergency fund until it reaches a certain threshold (no reason to have a lot of money where it isn’t getting a great interest rate). Each month we have a chunk of money that goes to a retirement…
Yeah, I was kind of surprised myself. But apparently they lost in the AFC Championship game to the Pats in 1996. Who knew?
Well I mean he threw for five TDs and almost 500!!!!! yards. I think it might be the coaches fault (or the defense) in this situation.
That is Tom “2-1 against the Patriots in the playoffs because of his first stint with the Jaguars” Coughlin.
Yes, but when Bledsoe came back (and won the AFC Championship game against Pit by the way) the team stuck with Brady even though Bledsoe was healthy and had shown he could still play at a high level.
My wife and I just finished it last night (as our seven days of free Anime Strike is set to end like tomorrow so I guess we picked the right time to join?) and it is fantastic. Never read the manga, but loved the show.
They could franchise tag him. Other than that it would be his decision to stay.
Not a problem. I didn’t realize just how scant 50-goal scorers were until you posted that anyway. So I learned something new today. And again Iginla is technically “active” but isn’t playing so easy oversight there.
I agree that Ovi is great, and probably the best scorer ever, but Stamkos has 2, Jagr actually has 3 and Jarome Igninla (who is still technically active) also has 2. So it is four players have more than one. Which is still ridiculous.
The Pats went 10-6 without Brady, then 3-1 when he was suspended last year. So.....
