I may agree but I dislike people that think I am doing anything “beyond ability”.

Wow I just traded an old welder for a Bolens Estate Keeper EK7 with a snow blade, 42inch deck, and snow blower with chute. Restored it myself and installed a rear muffler with smoke stack and the awesome rain flapper that looks badass.

I guess he’s in sudoers.

Everyone today thinks horsepower is either enough or not enough for a job.

Part of me really wants to see what kind of hotrodding this engine could be put up to.

Props for the Shadow mention. I had a friend with one who lived (still lives) at home with his mom in his 30s with flames painted on a teal Shadow.

Lo-Fi tape hiss... you laugh but people do this intentionally.

Same, other option is a Mirage. 3cyl auto/manual but the Insight won’t rust.

Worst mod for me was the HY35 Holset I fabricated up to my heavily modded 03 TDI. Prior to that I kept blowing up turbochargers because they were too small. Diesels love boost and without knock can run ridiculous amounts basically more than a turbo can give. I kept blowing small ones over 30psi so I went huge and

Odd seeing hp/lb I always see it the other way, pounds per hp.

My favorite car to point out how worthless you can make 700+ horsepower.

In a Matrix-Style way of putting it...

No. My Evo solved that with an aluminum front and rear clip.

If this was something people didn’t like the article would have been a big expose on how we need to ban this growing dangerous trend further encouraged by the disrespectful manufacturers catering to a bunch of undesirables who shouldn’t be doing what they are trying to do.

Slower to people who don’t modify things. Easy part is making anywhere from 300-2500hp from a turbo 2.0.

I really dislike the parental mother like tone when discussing filters above and beyond what is necessary.

Envious of this but I tinker with a diesel and have loads more nasty black grime and grit. Entire underside of the car is oily but at least it stops the rust :)

I use bags for bigger projects and basically each time I remove something I seal the open bag, label it as step #wahtever, and open a new bag. Each solid removal of a part goes with its bag.

Not bad, I have a few more.
