What a future.... So we have lifted aluminum trucks as light as cars, lowered electric “turbo” branded cars that are as heavy as trucks..... And the lighter vehicles are much slower and handle *worse* than the heavier ones.

I’m that guy waiting in my TDI behind the two only used pumps which happen to be the diesel pumps....

You may like an older TDI. Small tossable and the diesel sounds good with exhaust work.

Love the diesel is slow comments everywhere. Diesel engines have more potential than gas motors do because they essentially have infinite octane and are only limited by the durability of parts and heat.

Just hit 309,000 in my 2003 TDI. Still going strong with triple the factory horsepower. Built and tuned by me. 45-50mpg pretty much always, with a very heavy foot.

If only gearheads knew how much fun diesels are to modify.... these supposedly “complex” engines are actually so much more simple than gas engines I find it backwards they have the bad rap.

Strongly disagree. SVT Focus sucked, even with a supercharger.

Ive seen similar things with big muscle trying to catch a 140hp miata in the twisties.... and cant.
