Hanks but no Hanks.

It’s amazing how ridiculous he looks in that helmet!

I don’t think the reviewer was trying to insult his intelligence, just that the writing is awkward? “Scoring high in intelligence” is a line better describing an RPG character, not a human being. Like, better to just say he’s “educated” or “graduated from X” to emphasize his smarts.

Oh man, I was definitely not implying that he was stupid! It’s more that “scoring high in intelligence” is a strangely ephemeral remark. Like, is it just that he had a high IQ (which has some icky racist implications)? Or maybe he studied political science? Or something related to medicine? Of all the things I implied

I mean, I would say that’s as much, if not more, of an indictment of the government then of the soldier. Cap’s entire arc was about how he went from a soldier in the US army to a man of conscience, which put him in direct conflict with those power structures. It stands to reason that the government would choose

He’s not stupid, though. He’s shown as being very good with the shield. Likely a heroic and worthy soldier in most respects. But is that enough to carry on Cap’s legacy, especially in the 21st century? That’s the question the show’s asking, it seems, and it’s a good one.

Zero. Just like the number of dinosaurs in Lord of the Rings.

I don’t know what the consensus is on the Godzilla reboot from a few years ago, but I got a kick out of both scenes where he uses his radioactive breath. The first one was perfectly timed, I had literally just thought to myself “I guess they cut out his radioactive breath, it is kind of silly I gues..OH SNAP!”. The

Legolas “surfing” the steps on a shield.

The “I live my life a quarter of a mile at a time” speech is dumb as fuck and I’m still like “For those 10 seconds or less, he’s free!”

I’d like to suggest an inventory:

What moments in movies you know intellectually are bad, silly, stupid or in some way inferior still give you goosebumps?

My suggestions:
* When Kong leaps off the building momentarily to swat the plane in this movie
* When the robot (and Hugh Jackman) does the spinning jump punch in “Real

It’s really too bad that they didn’t make this movie a decade later when animatronics were at the height of their usefulness.”

This one?

Jessica Lange’s acting talents were on better display in almost literally everything she’s done since, but in this piece of garbage she was volcanically hot, and sometimes that’s enough.

All you need to know about Synder:

When I was in high school, I had a teacher who told us: “If I give you a three page writing assignment, I’m going to knock off a letter grade for every page over three. After five, I stop reading and if you haven’t said what you need to say by then, you get an ‘F’.”

Yeah, Snyder doesn’t get any of this. According to his synopsis for JL2 & 3 all of the JL (except evil-Superman) are killed at one point or another (including the entire Amazonian race), many by Superman himself. Yes, it all gets reversed but it’s still the same Superman, who is apparently one loved ones death away

Wait, so Batman would only sacrifice himself to save Lois if she was the mother of his child?

Well at least we'd be certain that Martha was the grandmother.

Lois and Bruce hooking up while they thought Superman was dead isn’t a rumor, it’s a central part of the next two movies that Snyder had storyboarded out and released images of. Lois becomes pregnant with Bruce’s child and then lies to both Bruce and Clark and says Clark is the father. When Darksied shows up Clark
