It’s definitely tasteless but it works because it’s not making fun of 9/11 but the sociopathy of the Seinfeld crew.

I think a LOT of the angrier comments are coming from the displaced Gawker folks who miss their daily dose of fighting on teh interwebzzzzzz.
You can’t be inclusive to all. You can try, sure, but it’s impossible. Flavia Dzodan’s statement is too narrow to be productive. You can’t use language that is 100% inclusive of everyone all the time. If everything was bullshit unless it was 100% inclusive or intersectional, we’d have gotten nowhere.
This is not to suggest that obnoxious white feminism shouldn’t be called out! That shit is terrible and def should. I myself have benefitted greatly for that particular humble pie in the past (thank you, jezzies!).
I think there is often a tendency to look for the mistakes of seemingly earnest white girls. I mean, obviously Emma Watson is insanely wealthy and privileged, but it does seem like she is making every effort here and I can’t really point to her misstepping. I don’t know why Rachel focused on that. Maybe she just…
I’m torn on this one because of course you’re right. It is ableist and it can be hurtful. On the other hand...it’s just a metaphor. No one is saying if you can’t literally jump hurdles like a 1960s Olympian you can’t overcome obstacles. The audience that this video is aimed towards--the audience who likes Sia and…
Hey FYI someone just sent me this on another thread:
Almost 7 years ago, I did drugs for the first time and had a threesome with a total stranger! It all worked out OK because I did not get murdered. Stranger and I are getting married next year. Also we laid off the drugs because we are old now :p
No. Jordan Catalano did not age well, in all respects.
Am I the only one just completely over Jared Leto? I mean.... he’s become insufferable.
George Costanza : perfect example of a confident, well-adjusted human. The joke is that he’s TOO emotionally and physically healthy, really.

Decent models or not your opinion of them doesn’t’ matter as they are there modelling. If, like me, you are old enough to remember true “super” models these models are not aimed at you, we are not the demographic, our opinions of them don’t matter. This generation, the one that they are aimed at will call these…
Like you said, the point is to sell clothes. Models market the clothes by wearing them. Their faces market magazine covers. If your face is bland, or your look uninteresting, what’s the incentive for people to stop to check out the cover/contents?
I do think he’s wrong. They are literally there, participating, working, and getting paid, so they do have something to do with high fashion. Regardless of how they got there, they’re currently there. Personal feelings of how they achieved that role don’t discount the fact that they ARE in high fashion.
That’s a dumb statement though. They have something to do with high fashion because they model the high fashion, duh. Clearly they’re not designers themselves but are we expecting models pass some sort of high fashion litmus test? That’s preposterous. They need to look a certain way and pose and walk around. This guy…
Speaking as a long-term marijuana enthusiast, I definitely don’t believe weed helps anger issues for everyone. If anything it can mask them, and act as a crutch to keep people in a state of artificial numbness so they don’t deal with their problems. Sure it’s a relatively mild drug with great medicinal benefits, but I…
If you have anger issues, you are not smoking “too much” weed, you’re smoking way too little.
I’m still not. ;-)
