People don’t seem to understand this. Plus the fact that this takes place in the Craig-as-Bond universe, which is about to end, means that this is more than likely a one-off that’s been leaked to create buzz. This isn’t the new Bond. People don’t seem capable of interrogating information very effectively these days.

The thing is it’s not the reveal people think it is. She’s the 007 designate in a movie where Craig is still Bond. Considering the fact that the next movie will almost certainly restart the franchise with an entirely new Bond, new Bond universe, and new creative team, this really doesn’t mean much.
