Sisko did send Worf to make sure the Defiant did say hi to them though.

I actually once argued that Rom was perhaps the character that grew the most out of any Trek show. From typical Fernegi that would kill his own brother (while he was the head of state no less) for a bar that would also keep his son illiterate to brilliant engineer that would burn the damn bar down for his son’s

Sounds like it might be Pulaski. The only other person I think who would speak to him like that might be that Maddox guy that wanted to take him apart.

You may have a point about the blank slate. Dr. Soong once waxed poetic about why does a painter paint? why does a etc... etc... Data was meant to be the origins of an android/race whatever that might entail, but I don’t think he was “designed” to emulate Soong. If anything, the holograms like the Voyager EMH emulated

They sort of address this sort of thing later with the “Holographic Rights” long distance trial on Voyager along with a few eps. I always found it weird that the Federation has had scientists struggling with making androids like Data and ultimately created artificial lifeforms with feelings and emotions by accident.

I think another good pick might be the Buzzfeed affiliate Tasty

I just saw Jenna Coleman at San Francisco Comic Con this weekend. Your post just finished my day and weekend perfectly.

My memory might be fuzzy, but man that JFK ep was leaning toward scary for me when I watched it. Sam pretty much went full shooter up until the point where he leaped into the Secret Service Agent was tough to take for me.

I’m sure someone will do an “inspired by” or “homage” version eventually if they haven’t had a short lived version already.

My goodness. I”ve been waiting for them to reprint or atleast go all digital for the original Static title for a long time as well. I’m long past being teenager but what I Static stories I did run into were pretty compelling.

Some restaurants have a commercial version of this called an anti-griddle. It’s a pretty apt name.

A part of me wants to really like him in the true evil villain kind of way. Kind of like the joker without the haha. But as entertaining as some of the stories about him have been he still comes off, sometimes, as the annoying adolescent complaining about how nothing went right for him and how the other guys had

He might just film that last part and save the CGI people some time.

I’m kind of sad that he cancelled his appearance at San Francisco Comic Con. I was really looking forward to it. This movie better rock as much as that picture!

You absolutely win for best gif find of the day!

I can see your point, but I’m not sure it was so much as ignorance as it was the excitement of the adventure overruling the flaws. It kind of is staple characteristic of the Stein character is you think about it as Jax and Sara quickly brought him to down to reality pointing out that that time was great if you happen

That Pleasantville 1950's episode of Legends was wonderful enough that you didn’t even care about the main plot. They just hit the homophoic, racist, sexist points hard and loud with a little comedy and just kept going. It was a wonderful time travel ep with scifi action that had some great commentary.

Rail gun on the moon? Huh, that’s kind of a fun thought.

Now playing

There’s a documentary on netflix call Skyline that you should check out if you haven’t already. Here’s the trailer.
