I am in a pretty small group at my work so we get left alone for the most part. Even my manager, who does know what I do, has their eyes glaze over when I have to go into details. Anyone who has served in the military or worked in the federal government could have seen what a shit-show this was guaranteed to be. It was alway going to go way over budget and involve major logistical and organizational challenges that Trump has no patience for.

China has leverage, quite a lot, its the largest owner of our debt, soo much of our manufacturing is done by/through them, China also is allies with a large number of countries (economic as well as militarily). The US keeps pissing on its own allies, claiming its protection pacts are “worthless”

That boat wasn’t set adrift; it was fleeing.

According to this Yacht Website it has been making its way to Michigan from Florida since late May. Perhaps some group of the family summers in Northern Michigan.

I want to cheer you on for this great burn but I’m also aware that the ‘Great Lakes’ are named so because they are the largest lakes in the United States and probably all a pretty good fit for a yacht of that size.

If you own a $40 million yacht and have no better place to put it than fucking Ohio, you deserve anything that’s coming to you.
