Viking River Cruises sound great, and the boats look cool and go to fun places. However, be aware the average age of travellers is 70, so most of your vacation will be spent talking with strangers about their hip operations and incarcerated grandchildren.

the only cruise i would ever do is a viking river cruise. this is because their ads before PBS Masterpiece always made me want to be an elegant retiree gliding along the rhone with my aging but still dashing lawyer husband while taking in the sights of ancient europe, but also because it’s a river so if the boat

Karli won’t appear on the actual television show just yet; she was created for the online initiative. As her storyline develops, fans of the show will learn why she was placed in foster care: her mother had to go away for treatment, but now she’s back home and in recovery. The new resources, which help children

The front step resembles a futon that would fit into the skeletal, empty sofa frame in the “living area.” And the visible electrical cords (death tentacles) raise alarms about whether the place is to code. This is what “affordable housing” looks like in the age of AirBNB, on top of a severe housing shortage. A return

Yup, either this or they’ll minimalize your experience by bringing up all the crap they went through as professionals 20-30 years ago. “You ladies have it so good now, why are you complaining?!?!”

I feel like this is poorly understood and under reported. Working class white women voted for Trump knowing he was a sexual harasser because they don’t think sexual harassment will end, and it’s so common that they don’t think a President could do anything to counter it, and like, maybe they also feel like they

That’s pretty much what that whole episode is about. Maybe not using the words interchangeably, but definitely the reactions to them. Specifically, the difference between a boy identifying as bi versus a girl identifying as pan.

I know, that’s a huge difference, especially when those corporate “if you were offended” apologies are all too common. It’s a great show!

Same! And honestly when you’re dealing with a comedy show and not an educational documentary written, featuring and directed by those in the LGBTQIA community, it’s gonna happen sometimes.

Bi does mean two though linguisitically. Some people are attracted to men, some to women, some to both, and some to people who might not identify as either gender. I don’t think we need to try to change bisexual to mean two or more. Pansexual is fine. I don’t think it implies that trans people are big phonies.

Fantastic, the top comment here says that pansexuality is stupid, thus proving my point. Ffs.

There’s a big debate between lgbtq people on social media that’s been going on for a few months now about whether pansexuality has transphobic and/or enbyphobic connotations (as in, people can’t agree if it tokenizes or fetishizes trans and nonbinary people or not), or if bisexuality is able to “cover” the ground

Now playing

This not withstanding, I will say that they absolutely, COMPLETELY NAILED the ‘Anything goes in Florida’ song.

Sure, I can help explain. Pansexual doesn’t mean nympho, it just means that a person is attracted to all genders. If you think of gender as a spectrum instead of a binary, this is inclusive of the entire spectrum.

The issue to me seemed to not really be the scene within the context of the show, but the fact that Netflix used it as a standalone clip for promotional purposes - iirc the accompanying tweet said something like ‘this makes so much sense!’ which I think meant ‘it makes so much sense for Ali Wong to join the cast of

It’s a show about children written by adults for adults who most likely have no prior knowledge of the subject. This wasn’t written to be inaccurate on purpose, it was a poorly executed joke that can cause real harm. There’s a distinction.

This is the last show I would freak out on for getting something wrong. I imagine that the producers attempted to get it right within the amusing analogy. Some jokes miss.

One particularly annoying outcome of this was how quickly ‘this cartoon’s description of pansexuality is actually kinda transphobic and biphobic’ became ‘lol pansexuals are annoying and fake and just want to be special’ from supposedly woke LGBT people on Twitter. Everything I used to hear people say about bisexuality

Clearly Big Mouth doesn’t give lip service.

As far as apologizing for fucking it up goes, this feels pretty good, no?
