There;s a really strange Russian version with terrifying puppet and skips that captures the odd tone really well. I think it's on Netflix.

I know I enjoyed Indian in the Cupboard, but I cannot, for the life of me, remember if I read the book or watched the movie.

WHY no Tamora Pierce movies, though? Seriously, I devoured her books as a teenager, especially all the books that took place in Tortall. You want strong female characters and terrifying stakes and really depressing shit coupled with strong friendships, you read the Page series or the Lady Knight series (the one with

Oh man, reading this list has reminded me of some very good YA that I used to be in to.

Was there some dialogue that mentioned it was Sun's period? I am absolutely mystified about why people are talking about this connection- to me, it was just Lito breaking down from the stress of sometimes hallucinating people and having had a terrifying encounter with a drug leader the other day.

Those gasps of horror when you realize you must begin mourning a friend who's succumbed to Bing's unholy influence are real- one of my good friends uses it. He claims the "benefits are really good," but we all know he's just an empty shell now.

Everytime I am made aware of John Green's books, I always wonder "what weird-ass universe did he grow up in?" Teens don't talk like that; teens don't act like that. It's so frustrating

Hah, I prefer "orangoutang" myself.

I feel like I just watched a whole episode…

I have long legs and a short torso, meaning that pants are always "flood pants" (I hate this new [well not new anymore] trend of pants cuffed to the ankles because, for me, it wasn't a choice) and shirts usually look like they're too big (I also have disgustingly long arms, so long sleeved shirt? Not a chance).

That original trailer is… I don't want to say "bad," but it makes the movie seem very talky and boring, so I'm going to have to go with "bad."

Just remembering this story is making me teary-eyed. What a beautiful, heartfelt little story.

That reply makes me so happy.

I was very scared to re-watch it- I'd first seen it when I was about 12 and LOOOVVEED it. Then I was trying to convince people it even existed, we somehow ended up buying the DVD, and decided it was time for a rewatch.

I have heard so little people speaking reasonable about "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and "12 Years a Slave" (I think I was one of the very few people at my screening who did not leave in tears), so this was quite refreshing to me.

Man, I really like Simon Pegg, but he is testing me

I always thought They Might Be Giants were really popular. When I went to one of their concerts in Denver it was pretty packed, and they chastised some guy in the crowd for smoking weed.

This is… OK. There are some good ideas in here (and that trailer was better than i was expecting [but also somehow worse?]), but, really, I feel like if M Knight wants to direct this again (and really try to go for broke and regain his status as a great director/mindfucker), he'd have to go for something more outside

I sure hope one of those three times was at Monsters Inc

Goddam- even though I loathe Andy, "The Johnny Karate Super Awesome Musical Explosion Show" really hit the marks. That would have been a great finale, and I could hear the emotion as they sang that goodbye song.
