I totally agree with the others that have commented- Sarah Dessen's stories are all "realist," but she's considered as someone who writes love stories, because all her novels concern teenagers falling in love while finding their place and accepting their lives. Yet those are the exact same themes that John Green

That really devastated me- I have to rethink my whole "Bret" stance now.

I'm sure this has been discussed countless times (here and elsewhere), but I find it so ridiculously stupid that Jamie Dornan's penis isn't shown. I haven't seen the movie, nor do I intend to, but if there's full nudity from Dakota Johnson (as expected from the source material), why the hell isn't there the same from

OK, maybe my appeal to put yourself in his shoes isn't that great of one: it's impossible to do that, and it's proven that people always imagine they'll react better in a crisis than is actually the case.

Literally, could you imagine being in that situation? Can you imagine your whole previous conception of life in a secure country just shattering around you? Give the man a break for needing some time to process!

What are you trying to imply, listing "superior" and "good" first when making the comparison between Star Trek/Wars?

Maybe. But I think it's a very human moment, and really shows us the man that had all these cartoonish and caricatured traits (rightly or wrongly) thrust upon him
