I think you’re missing that these are Nerf guns first, so primarily they shoot Nerf projectiles - they’re not cosplay standins or model accurate re-creations

You know what? I wasn’t there and neither were you. Prime Time shows like Lost often have scenes that suggest nudity without actually showing it which still puts actors in extremely revealing wardrobe and sometimes requires them to be nearly nude during filming. Lilly was not terribly experienced with prime time TV…

And then add on that preventing actors (and stunt people) from coming to harm is part of his job.
