305-auto would be less than ideal. Either the 305-5spd or 350 auto combo would be preferred. Add some creaky and leaky T-tops and you've got the perfect Firechicken of my youth.

Timely review. Just by coincidence I happened to get the opportunity to drive one yesterday. Six speed car belonging to a friend.

Nope. Borrowed from BaT:

Actually, the 'Rossa wasn't the "real deal all day long". The car the used for stunts was a rebodied Pantera.

Good buddy of mine had a 1980 Scout. With the Nissan turbo diesel no less. Purchased new by his dad. He inherited it as his first vehicle. This was back in the mid to late 80s. By that time the engine had been replaced at least once, and the body had been patched up and repainted. Fun times cruising in that beast.

I'd settle for my permanent release from the Purgatory of Grey

oh oh oh... "the Hunt for Red October"!

And dammit... Get me out of the grey already. Been stuck in this purgatory for too long.

Hope he's got triple A.

I'm too much of a chicken. I'll send my 4 yo son over to do it and then make like he got away from me.

This guy. The DB that displays his trophies. It's a car show. Not a trophy show. Takes all my self-restraint not to kick them over.

The guy that feels the need to display his trophies?.

Protégé5 was the wagon version. Got one as my DD. Really not that rare. Great car though.

Interior of the 71 GTX I owned several years back. Wish I had more pictures:

The Holy Grail 3.6 Wagon is one with the "Performance" package and summer tire package and recaro interior. Summer tire package got LSD and upgraded brakes and suspension in addition to the 19-inch summer tires. The recaro interior was an optional on the Performance and Premium starting in 2012. Premium package adds

I've been shopping used cts 3.6 wagons and have been very suspicious of that hatch opening and low roofline. I'm guessing the usable volume is probably no better than my Protégé 5 and my Outback would blow it away. Sure looks sexy though.

How much lumber can it carry? Will it take a 4x8 sheet of plywood?

I'm a big fan of these Shelby s, particularly the turbos, but theses are all just garage art. And not the kind that's worth 120 large. Not even close.

That was from last year and the only pic I had handy. A better pic would have been after Christmas when I strapped the un-bundled tree to the top headed to the recycling center. Or when I put the Yakima Loadwarrior basket on top for a trip to the home improvement store. It actually makes a pretty good beast of burden.

Here's a picture of mine. Just for giggles, I crunched some numbers figuring what I've spent on it. Adding up everything except insurance and registration, and FULLY depreciating it, it has cost me like 35¢/mile over 45k miles. Now has 72k and change on it.
