Good choice, but I' might argue the first gen was "more 90's" that the second gen, even though it was introduced for 88 and finished after 92. Don't know that you could get one in teal though. Maybe at the very end of the 1st gen model run.

There are tens thousands of electrical vehicles out there that do battery swaps every day. Visit any large warehouse distribution center and you'll see electric fork trucks do it regularly. This isn't a new concept.

I've had an 02 five speed for about five years now. It's been the perfect commuter and back up to our primary family car (2012 Outback... another pseudo wagon). A blast to drive, and a cost of ownership next to nothing. My only complaint is not enough room for both my dogs and the kids.

Diono makes really narrow child safety seats with short seat cushions which are probably just the ticket in this application. Really heavy, and really expensive. They'll also fit three across in most vehicles.

I had almost forgotten about these... which is pretty sad considering I owned one. Actually, it was my wife's car, but I logged plenty of time behind the wheel in it. Only owned it for a couple of years. Yet another car I traded off prematurely due to a new job accompanied by a pay raise and money burning a hole in my

Bought a 94 GT as my first new car. Might be my favorite of every car I've owned.

ZBB rules. If you ever get the chance to catch them live, don't let the opportunity pass.

LEDs are great... except in a typical retrofit application the payback based on energy savings is about 10 years. It's better if you're already up there putting in the labor on a worn out high pressure sodium HID fixture, but the bottom line is that LEDs cost about 10 times more initially.

I worked for one of the OEM trim manufacturers for this vehicle. When the sales projections came out for capacity planning, we were all like, "Yeah, right". And then they wanted to amortize tooling costs over the projected volumes.

Steep rake on rear hatch makes for little or no functional increase in cargo area over the sedan (although folding rear seats are improvement over the sedan pass through). No factory roof rack rails. An antenna poking up in the middle of the roof making it difficult to position an aftermarket rack or cargo box. Not

And furthermore, I previously owned a 2003 IS300 Sport Design sedan with a 5 speed and can say that my Protege5 (with a 5 speed) is more fun to drive. The SportCross is auto only.

I too want one, but my justification for replacing my 2002 Protege5 wagon is that I need something bigger. These are no better for rear cargo.

I'd have owned one if you could. While shopping for a used one circa 2006, I passed on several auto-equipped ones. Ended up getting a 2003 Sedan with 5 spd and LSD. Wish I still had that car, but traded it to make way for a more family oriented SUV.

Somebody please give me a mash-up on this.

Dodge beat them by about 35 years. Image is for an 80, but this wasn't the first year for the package.
