He definitely lost some et by pedaling the car. The strange thing to me is that this wheelstanding is caused by not enough power. You actually want the wheels to spin some in order to keep the front end down.

Mine has over 260k miles on it, and the rust is just starting around the edges (in Indiana), and I haven’t had any electrical issues. I have heard that the fuel injection is a nightmare if it starts having issues.

Now playing

Murder Nova did it at last year’s event. Nothing like tripping the beams with your back tires!

What is unreliable about these cars? I dd a 1981 Scirocco S. Wear items are the only thing that I’ve had to replace.

Germany is like that as well. They have to have the camera plainly visible, and they have to have signage. They put up extra signs just to mess with everybody now. One of my coworkers still managed to get a ticket, of course.

I heartily agree on all of your points. RIP, Shadow. That was an amazing grudge/radial car.

If you watch drag racing, in general, online with chat enabled, you see a lot of that. Such as CarName TTMFF (to the mf front).

If you add wheelie bars at this event and class (Radial vs the World), you get a 50 pound weight penalty. Also, wheelie bars make radial tires unload very unevenly, meaning that if you load up the bars, your next stop is probably going to be the wall.

Selling the car while it was still in one piece would have been nice too (it was for sale and this was to be its last event with Stevie Fast driving it).

Supposedly there were two people at the race that came from out of country to buy the car after the event. I think the car was priced at $300k.

There is a piece that will measure the angle of the chassis and once the chassis gets to a certain angle, it will start pulling timing out of the motor to decrease hp. The fact that he got back into the throttle twice while it was standing up plus a strong wind did The Shadow no favors.

Here’s Jeff Lutz gassing up before taking his street legal pro mod to California.

I might unload mine sometime soon. The values have been climbing for a while now.

Well, I’ve learned something today. Thanks for the clarification!

Try an aftermarket Recaro seat. I looked at a Wrangler once that was owned by a doctor and only driven during his yearly drives to his cabin in Colorado. For the long trips, he installed a Recaro instead of the normal driver’s seat. It was very comfortable and very supportive.

Bra fucking vo!

He’s running in the Radial vs the World class. 315 drag radials.

This was at Lights Out 7. It’s a no-prep event, so the track is one issue. The other issue is that he’s not running big tires. He was in the Radial vs the World class, which limits your tires to 315 drag radials. Big Chief’s Crowmod (from Street Outlaws) ran a 4.03 in the same class at the Outlaw Street Car Reunion

There is one spaceship, with a trail of blood that leads to an alien. They had to make the Alien Blaster available somehow.
