I would agree with that statement. Now I wish I knew what type of shark I consumed...

In mine (81 Scirocco S), the only way to downshift into first is to rev match. Otherwise, with the clutch depressed, it will only slip into first gear when at almost a full stop.

I’m slightly taller than that, and there is ample room for a helmet on my head in my MK1 Scirocco. Once you crawl into them, they’re surprisingly spacious inside and they have a ton of leg room (well, only in the front seats).

I dd a 1981 Scirocco S (about 50 miles per day). It’s so much more fun that driving a boring econobox to work. Plus, it’s paid off and most likely appreciating as I drive it.

I’ve grilled shark before. It was pretty tasty.

Same here! My dad brough home three one night as partial payment for a construction job. Out of the three, we got two of them running. It’s a good thing my mom didn’t know how fast they were. My next toy with an engine was a Yamaha 80 4-wheeler. Good memories!

My daily driver is a 1981 VW. I’m doing all I can to not contribute as well!

I've been buying used treadmills at garage sales for a year now. If the zombie apocalypse ever happens, we're going to line them all up around the house facing outward...
