This reminds me of a book I read a while back, "Your Money or Your Life". Instead of assigning a dollar value to each activity, it essentially converts the amount you spent to the equivalent number of hours you worked to earn that amount. So if you wanted to go out for a $100 meal and you earn $20/hour. You'd be

A similar concept I learned from marketing class....

I know a lot of people that have been doing this throughout the years. Sometimes they'll force you to go and register your cash card. The other thing is that you can't use things like the photo or optical centre with the cash card.

My friend said google docs has worked great for his team during the last term. I think I might give it a shot in my upcoming school term. Not everyone is willing to use google docs. But maybe people will give this office/facebook combo a try since they all use both anyway.

I'm in a management/accounting program and our program office gets business cards printed for all the students. I tend to forget to bring mine, but the program really does stress that we should keep them handy and distribute them. Personally, I hate having to keep these cards (both my own and the ones I get from

A "chinese" remedy for colds is boiling coke with a bit of lemon and ginger. It helps some people clear their sinuses. Doesn't seem to do much for me, but it's a nice little drink. #remedies

In all these years, I've tried Avast, Avira and AVG. AVG wasn't as light as the other two. Avira was good, but it seemed it would always take forever to update. Then I switched to Avast like 2 years ago, and I've been pretty satisfied. No intention of switching yet. The Avast UI seems to be a problem for some

Find study buddies! It's so important to have someone you can go to if you miss anything or don't get something. Really...it's so important that my GRADUATE program formally assigns us study groups.

Notebooks are great for taking notes for people like me who can type a lot faster than write. I can catch a lot more info that way.

The library methods don't work that well. Required texts are in the university library, but there's usually only one or two copies, and they're only for short-term loan (i.e. 3 hours). And from my experience, public libraries rarely have the books you need for the more technical courses.

    Wake up.

My writing is something in between print and cursive. But the only time I really need to use pen and paper is those days when I don't have my laptop with me in class. Other than that, a written note or letter is so rare that it's like it's 'reserved' for special people. I should probably write more, because it
