I understand the criticism on both sides. There is a sizable audience of LGBT individuals, women, and minorities who have felt that games, along with other forms of culture, have left them on the outside. It is no secret that white, male, heteronormative perspectives have been the driving force in gaming for years.

Now,

I always interpreted the term “butthurt” to mean those complaining are imagining something awful (such as an ass-raping) happening to them.
That is, the term is pejorative in calling someone a whiner by indicating that they are embellishing their victimization.

In this case, I think it is a wonderful use of the term

YMMV is the key when it comes to personal comfort and health decisions.
If someone said they would give me $1000 to give up my glasses for a year and only wear contacts, I still wouldn’t do it.

Well, it is an AP report, so if you are saying the Associated Press is not credible, I don’t know what else to tell you.

The report was covering the fact that these police officers were not really punished at all. Maybe they looked up phone numbers for people they were interested in. Maybe they were finding the current

Some people don’t care if others see their naked skin. If you are one of them, you shouldn’t care if the FBI puts a camera in every public bathroom.

Some people don’t care if others know their purchases. If you are one of them, you shouldn’t care if the FBI starts tracking everything you buy on Amazon.

Are you saying get-out-the-vote campaigns and community organizing are illegal?

I have read through this whole essay and have come to two realizations:

I think you misunderstand - it is still possible in 2016 to have a cellphone, but not a smartphone.

It is also still possible, even in 2016, to have low income but not be on financial assistance.

Fair enough.

To be fair he hasn’t need to buy a single advertisement yet is all over TV and the Internet. He is everywher on Facebook and his comments permeate every aspect of conversation. i don’t know why, but that is how it works and it is working well for him.

That analogy really does fit. The kind of people who think Harvard automatically better for them based on popular opinion are probably shallow and a little dead inside, just like the girl in this story.

There is a big difference between “Fuck that we don’t want kids” and “I would rather not have kids, but it’s ok if they come.”

It is a religious teaching based on philosophy. The practical application and the internalized intent mean a great deal when you are talking about WHY you are doing something.

It’s a similar distinction in the teaching about going to church on Sunday. You could say “F that” and just skip it. Or you could honestly be

Is it? I was always taught that sex was ok as long as you were open to the possibility of procreation (baby and bond, both/and, as opposed to either/or). The whole reason NFP is even allowed is because it is not meant to be 100% effective.

The point is intent. With artificial birth control, you are actively trying to avoid conception but still have sex. With natural family planning, it is passive, but you still very obviously take the risk of getting pregnant.

The whole point is that sex should not be separated from its life-giving aspects. It’s the
