Good luck getting it for MSRP. I called a few dealers in SoCal earlier this year about Civic Type R and GR Corolla prices. The CTR salesman laughed when I said MSRP and they said they can easily sell them for $60K so they will. The GR Corolla was not getting out the door for less than $50K.

I get its based on the prowler so it isn’t really going to look to normal but damn that thing is ugly.

And since my comment disappeared, to elaborate, regardless of similar performance, you can bet that the buyer demographics of the two models are going to be significantly different, and so will the claims history. The Fast and the Furious set are not going to buy the Hybrid.

I completely agree with not buying knock off/generic NACS adapters. At the same time, this is not something GM should be trying to make money on. ~250 (let’s not forget sales tax) seems to me like a lot of money for what is a glorified plug converter with some $5 chip in it, no?

This car is two features away from perfection, rear seat HVAC vents and ventilated front seats, aside from that it’s a grand slam. The value, performance, and efficiency Venn diagram is almost a circle, from what I’ve read about it and from experience with the Civic as well as other Honda hybrids using the hybrid 2.0…

Honestly, I think this is the best looking version of the Civic available now. The Si is just a hot mess. I also like that the dash — if you squint enough — harkens back to the simplicity of the very first little CVCC models.
