Do I have to pay this back next year? Is this just a “forward” on next year’s return- or an amount that next year’s return will be reduced by?

I’d be hard pressed to think of a scenario where anyone reading this article doesn’t “need” the check. It’s my money anyways so I’m taking it back, thank you very much!

Those are very rough estimates, hence the generous “~”.

I am glad they included Blue the Farm cat in there, since I think a lot of people don’t realize that barn cats are a working animal. Without them, the barn, the crops, and farm animal feed would be wiped out from mice. Barn/farm cats are not pets, they are a very necessary working member of the farm.

No need to look for that here. Gizmodo exists 90% on exaggeration and outrage these days.

While I believe that cats do kill more animals than is probably good for the environment. The evidence in this “report” is from estimates from the owners...

“Lure people into public places” my dude you sound insane.

It’s 2020. We don’t hold anyone directly accountable for their actions...

Taste of their own water? I mean lets face it, not everyone has great water or an option to attach a faucet filter.

On top of that, it’s not the landfill stuff that is ending in the ocean, it’s all the stuff that people don’t bother to place in a receptacle of any kind.

Lawsuits like this ignore the actual problem. The problem is that the US is horrible at recycling, and that applies to both the people here and the government agencies responsible for it. When China stopped buying our recycled plastic in 2017, we just started throwing it in landfills yet we somehow find a way to blame

“Taking this into account, and considering that Pelosi did not rip up Trump’s speech at any moment shown in the edited video on social media, it is difficult to understand how Facebook can claim that the video does not violate their policies.”

Really? Political ads do this shit all time! And do you really think that

The abbreviation for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is NHTSA, not NHTS as it is repeatedly referred to in this post.

“ and run a strong ad blocker in your browser”

I’ve been yelled at in LAX about not putting shoes in the bin.

Really? I don’t understand this.

Also, the pass is suggested on the lock screen and literally is a tap away. Pulling it up literally takes less than 1 second. LITERALLY

Umm that doesn’t happen unless you’re super dumb. Not everyone struggles with tech. Disposable paper isn’t a better option.

The probability of something going wrong with a digital boarding pass is about the same as the probability of dropping your boarding pass. Especially if your airline allows you to store the boarding pass in the Wallet (or whatever the Android equivalent is).

correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that the first shuttle was supposed to be named the constitution, but was named enterprise after a letter writing campaign spearheaded by trekkies.
