For a job that a motivated 14 year old could probably perform with a few hours of training? Yea, kinda.

600 people asking to work and be paid in the summer when the need is probably a tiny fraction of that actually does seem like a lot to ask to me.

It got them a ton of coverage on deadspin for a minor tweak on something that’s actually pretty common?

it prevented the russians from taking over, duh

Don’t quote me on this, but I heard it’s not a female at all. It’s a guy. And...

Next up; B.B. King, did he really have the blues, and does it matter?

Can we get thirty to forty more stories on this. I need to know what the folks at jalopnik think about the dust jacket flaps on these novels. Are they a necessity or aesthetic claptrap. There’s still juice in here, DRINK IT!

Am I the only one who has never ever ever heard of Elena Ferrante?

Isn’t this the sort of stuff that killed Gawker?

For one, we learned that Ferrante’s collection of “autobiographical” essays coming out next month should be labeled as fiction, at least partially.

Everyone look, it’s one of those troll things we keep hearing about on PBS! What do we do? Personally, I think we should all get really upset and try to discuss our politics with it, just to see if it’s a reasonable one. This is so exciting.

Well, let’s hope the children are OK and everyone else is dead.

I’m totally happy being an out of touch white guy in his mid-thirties who doesn’t “get” Kanye West. Fuck that guy.

yes. Plenty of flak in the comments... no accountability from Gawker OR the sites under it though. Heck, just reading the Univision stuff tells you how little they even regard that horrendous judgement.

it’s weird reading criticism of this happening on a Gawker (former Gawker?) site... a media group that took quite a bit of pride in outing either anonymous individuals also doing nothing illegal or even outing someone’s sexual preferences.

Because it’s not tax evasion. It’s actually something that anyone who claims a substantial loss has to do because the IRS limits the amount of a loss someone can take on their tax return to a certain percentage/dollar amount.

you guys run more kneeling during the anthem stories than gawker ran trump stories.

I like Chris Bosh, and am definitely on the Bosh-is-underrated train, but it he seems like someone going through the five stages of grief. At first he just plain denied what the doctors were telling him, now he’s moved on to anger, lashing out at the Heat. I don’t trust Pat Riley, but there’s a reason pretty much

I’m not even into that genre and I know who DBTs are

The Drive By Truckers just dropped their election year protest album American Band. Why are we talking about Zac Brown?
