No, no, and no. Dawn will strip basically any coating (wax, polymer, etc) from your paint and leave it unprotected. Shell out the extra $2 for car wash soap. Muy cheaper than a new clear coat. 

It’s frustrating me how you missed:

2014 C7 here. I pretty much only use 7th on the highway and sometimes on half of my commute (the other half is really hilly, so I get similar mileage in 6th or 7th). You have to be above 55mph to even use seventh without the risk of bogging.

2014's are actually considered MORE reliable because they still had the 6 speed in the automatic. The newer 8 speed from 2015 on is having TC issues. The only real 2014 issue is the media screen can crap out on you.

C6 and C7 were/are definitely painted by robot and there is no shortage of complaining about the resultant “orange peel” on the forums. The factory just did a huggeeee upgrade, too.
