Psychohistory ultimately doesn’t match any real-world social science because it’s a made up mishmash of different things. So in the end you can say it has elements of social psych, sociology, economics, etc. All held together my hand-waved algorithms.

My opinion is that it more closely resembles social psychology, but Foundation got me interested on social science in general and research psychology appealed to me the most.

Foundation was one of the major reasons I got interested and eventually studied psychology as a career. Really looking forward to this.
